Some wonderful words of wisdom here - I appreciate the support guys, I really do! I'm going to take small steps and break it down into little goals and make sure that I set my next goal as soon as I knock one off. I'm over beating myself up now - I just have to get on with it <3

Thanks for you words of support guys - it is much appreciated! I have done some hard thinking today and I hope I've got my head back in the game, I think the words "don't look back, just look forwards" might become my new mantra

Food for thought.

Day 5, still alive!! Definitely easier today, but definitely not ready to go to level 2 like some of you kick-*kitten* shredders. Today was the first day that I didn't need to "follow Anita" so I'm proud enough of that. Plus I did 2 hrs of vigorous gardening today and I'm so pleased with myself that I still did the shred…

Just done with day 4 and so glad I did it - it was easier tonight and my legs are slowly becoming less sore. Still a killer workout but less painful if that makes any sense. The only thing that really gets me is the cardio in the first circuit - that second set of jumping jacks I can barely leave the ground at all!! Day 5…

Cripes, I'm just about to do day 3 and I'm dreading it, I'm so sore from yesterday's effort, especially my quads. However I'm hell bent on doing this right and so I'm going to grit my teeth and do it! Well done to all you great people who are kicking butt
-
I hear ya! I'm just about to do day 3 and my legs are killing me from yesterday so I'm not sure how I'm going to go - just have to grit my teeth and DO IT! Wish me luck :-)

Ouch!! Is about all I have to say about day 2. My quads were literally shaking during the squats and lunges, and I'm afraid I find the push-ups utterly horrible, my arms and chest are killing me and that was just doing them from my knees. However this is a good thing right? This means major muscle toning and building is…

Day one for me today too, very hard, especially the skipping and the push-ups - ouch! My legs were like jelly afterwards. I logged it as vigorous calisthenics 20min (gives same result as circuit training actually).

Hi there, I'm a nurse and these days I only work part-time - usually 1700-2300hrs with some on-call as well. On my last shift I went home and got called back 1/2 an hour after I got home I ended up having 3 hrs sleep. Consequently I snacked all through the next day because I was tired. Research has shown that nurses and…

Did my thing again today and actually shaved 10mins off my time and crammed in an extra 4 laps too, so I definitely think what some of you have been saying is true about building stamina quickly. My arms are nowhere near as sore tonight as they were last night (Thankyou Voltaren!) thank goodness :-) Great to see so many…

Great to see some other keen swimmers in here too. I went for my second swim today and did another 50laps of freestyle over the course of an hour. Was much the same as Monday - started with 6 laps then went to 2 laps with a short breather in between. The only thing is that my arms are incredibly sore! I will need to take…

Cool, I just signed up to swimplan and got my first workout, it looks like a challenge! Off to the pool tomorrow - wish me luck!

Great! Thanks Aqua for that link, I'll check it out for sure, and thanks for the advice noctuary, I will be careful.

Well I have very stiff and sore arms today so I obviously worked out yesterday - I haven't been able to get to the pool today, but I'll be able to go tomorrow and Thursday as well, so I'm looking forward to seeing if I can do it again. Might have to push through some pain! I like the idea of having a couple of one on one…

You look fan-flippin-tastic! You're an inspiration to me - I have about 50lbs more to lose, maybe a tad more. I hope you feel really proud of yourself
-
That's great! You've done really well all on your own. MFP is great it's really motivating

I think exercise has to be enjoyable and fun as well as giving you a good workout. Join a sports team or take up a sport that you've enjoyed in the past, if you hate the gym -don't go! Or if you love taking classes but hate circuit training then just do classes. If you enjoy something then it ceases to be a chore and…

My advice would be to do whatever you enjoy doing. For me it's walking - I walk and walk and walk at least 5 days a week and it is amazing how much my fitness has improved over the past 4 weeks since I started. Above all, find exercise that is easy to fit into your day because then it is easier to stick to your regimen.…

Ouch! The comments some people have had directed at them are really painful! I can't believe that loved ones would say such things, I've never had hurtful comments from my husband, or my family - not even my younger brothers who are both fit and never had an overweight day in their lives. My mum has had little struggles…

I've recently given up eating sweets and chocolate and icecream and taken up eating fruit instead. I don't go crazy and have no more than 3 servings of fruit a day, but I find it helps soothe my sweet tooth and it's a hell of a lot better than the crap I've been shovelling in my gob for the past 18yrs! As a result I am…

Anyone? Not a popular sport I guess!

My motivation is my family, especially my kids - I really want to set them a good example. Also I'm turning 40 next year in October and I am determined to look amazing when I go out and party for my birthday. My reward will be going shopping for a little black dress to wear on the night - my first LBD in over 17yrs!
-
My goodness that's an attractive young woman in your profile pic - how did you ever get so lucky?! Oh and... you go boy!
-
You look awesome, congratulations on your fantastic effort so far! I really look up to people like you who can stick to your goals

Without knowing either of you, I suspect that this is a guy who prefers you to be less confident and feeling insecure about yourself. Perhaps when he first met you he was blown away by your confidence and glad to be with a girl who looked and felt fabulous, but now, down the track a bit, he doesn't want you attracting that…

I'm with you! I just joined mfp yesterday and I have about 73lbs to use or 33.2kg since I'm in a metric country! I've given myself 22mths to reach my goal weight - by my 40th birthday. Friend me and we can egg each other on :-)
