I'd love to jump in if I may! SW 12/26/25 - 142.6 CW - 132.6 (I'm unofficially giving myself until March 4, which is 10lbs in 10wks. I like round numbers!)

When my girl was bf on demand I manually set my calories to 1850 and then ate back my exercise calories. I lost all my pregnancy weight this way though the mfp calculator didn't understand. I'm still bf at 2.5 yrs but now I don't really get a calorie deficit anymore and have had to lower my calories.

I definitely second the idea of setting your goal weight about 3 lbs lower and give yourself that range to maintain. After a couple of weeks of maintenance I usually stayed at the lower end of the range, but I haven't gone over the top of the range (I.e. my original goal) since I started maintenance a few months ago. There…

Wow! I'm so impressed by the losses here! Some of y'all had really challenging goals and I think it was great for getting results. I had a goal of 1lb a week (I'm breastfeeding) but I think I need to step it up slightly for the next challenge! SW 162.5 CGW 147 CW 145.6. So 17lbs gone this challenge! That means I'm under…

I'm down. I'd be happy to co-mod if needed.

Y'all are doing great! Everyone is losing and that's the point. Slow and steady wins the race! Start:162.5 (that was the start of the challenge. My my mfp tracker goes back to last summer. I was 176 at 8 weeks postpartum). Cw: 147.5 (down 1 lb from last week) CGW: 147 Only a half a lb away from my goal. I got this! I'll…

Hey, it happens! That's what's great about having group support; we're here when you come back. I'm excited about the finish line. I think I'll make my challenge goal! This group definitely helped!

Layers are your best friend when running in the cold. I if it's really cold i like a hoodie over a hat and gloves. Usually i ditch the hood and possibly even the gloves, but you may need them at first. Also, does anyone use the Run Double app? I was using the C25k app but it was glitchy. The Run Double app is excellent!

Hi all! I made it to week 4 this winter before i developed a really terrible case of plantar faciitis. I'm hoping I've rested enough weeks to let me start over. We're expecting a little more snow in the VA/DC area tomorrow, so I'll plan on starting again either today or Friday. I'm looking forward to progressing with you…

Great tips! String cheese and quick bites are a good idea. I'm packing sandwiches for the ride down, but for some reason stopping at the grocery store on the way back didn't occur to me. Likewise breaking up walking into 10 or 15 min chunks is a perfect solution. This is why you've made your challenge goal already! Thanks.

Gbrady, way to go!!! Tip of my hat to you! Hopefully the rest of us will be joining the celebration in a couple of weeks.

Great job everyone! SW 162.5 CW 149 (down 1.6 lb from last week) CGW 147 So close to the finish! One more challenge and I think I'll be at my ultimate goal weight of 136. I was rocking the exercise last week but fell down badly with water. Hoping to do well with both this week (even with the 4-5 in of snow we got last…

Welcome! I will soon be bf a toddler. My girl will be 1 on Mar 31. Question, how do you get her to stay still while nursing? I'm hoping this is just a phase since she's only just recently become an efficient crawler. I feel like I'm wrestling her sometimes to nurse her, especially before naps. You'll get there on your…

Haha...mine is so high only because I'm breastfeeding. I try to consume 1800-2000 calories a day. The more I exercise the harder it is to eat a lot so I've cut back some. To think, when I started mfp I was actually starving at the end of 2000 calories. I must have been taking in 2500-2700 a day!!! Yikes. Of course there…

SW 162.5 Last week 153 CW 151.6 CGW 147.5 This week was a good one for me! I have been nursing a bad case of plantar faciitis so my exercise has suffered. As a result, my weight loss had been somewhat stalled for the last couple of weeks. Looks like I've broken trough though! Also, I was without a scale all week. It was…

I like either! I definitely need the ongoing support. :)

I just looked to see where you are. I'm in VA too! NoVA outside DC. Stay safe!

Oh man this snow is bringing me down!! So hard to exercise. And today was definitely a splurge day. Ah well, up an at em tomorrow. You guys are doing great!!

Yes, yes, yes to the ladies saying it will calm down after a while. Except for the early morning, I really never have that full feeling any more. It freaks out some mamas who think they are losing supply, but it's totally normal. I nurse on demand my 10 mo. old. Maybe try to exercise in the evening when your supply is not…

PattiBear, I have 2 doxies! I love your ticker.

Another NoVA! Oakton in Fairfax Co.

Hi all, I'm 5' 1.5" (5' 2" on a good day!) and my start weight was 176 this past summer. I'm currently 156-157. You can do it! feel free to add me.

Thanks, all! A lb a week it is. I'm doing well, but losing weigh while bf has NOT been easy for me. And everyone said it would be! My body seems to be clinging to every lb. However I'm finally starting to see some progress! Tracking and exercising..who knew what has always worked would work again. Lol I will say when I…

Ah coolchick, I understand! I was textbook my first several weeks and my weight stayed about the same. I volleyed with the same couple of pounds up and down. Recently it seems like it's been sliding off. I figured it's just where I started + where I was in my cycle. That's how it seems to me...right when I'm right on the…

My daughter turns one at the end of March. We are going back home to have a celebration with all our family. It's going to be in an outdoor picnic area of a park as well. We will have a smash cake and one for the guests (who are almost all adult family members). The theme is going to be It's a Great Day for Up! (her…

lastchancedan, thanks for that article!
