Do you think that it would work the same to zig zag the calories that I am at right now, and just give myself my exercise calories on the day I do the exercise? For example, I typically take in 1440 for the day. If I zig zagged those to have 2 low days, 2 high days and 3 on days, could I add in my exercise for that…

I weigh in on Fridays so I'll log my weight now. I'm 189.5---> down .5 for this week. Way to go on everyone's exercise so far. Way to be rock stars!

There's a huge range, but I'm 190 and 5'4 and I know the routines and going at a pretty high intensity. I burn roughly 500-600 calories in 50 minutes.

Don't have any shame in explaining your reasons for losing weight. At least when you put it out there-hopefully, most people will leave you alone. You have every right to do what you need to in order to stay or get healthy. Chances are--if you respectfully tell them why it's important to you, they will back off. Good luck…

You will definitely be in my prayers. Thankfully, medical advances are in your favor. I'd rather have a recheck and catch it earlier than to assume it was nothing. Keep us posted as to how to pray and I agree with the last post, If God takes you to it, He will take you through it! God bless!

Just do both today and log nothing tomorrow. It's not going to matter as long as it evens out over the course of the week. Same with calories. If you go over with calories tomorrow but stay under tomorrow, it will all be fine!

I'm going to try this! The new exercises might be a little hard considering I gave up my gym membership, but I think I may have some dvd's I haven't done in my closet somewhere! I will definitely do the nutritional goal though!

I'd definitely go with your Bodymedia. I have one as well, and there are some things that overestimate calories and that's a bummer, but some underestimate so then it's a win! :) Maybe just focus on getting your heart rate up! Good luck!

I'm not real sure, but I do know that I'm having a very hard time running outside vs running on my treadmill. I can run a 5K on my treadmill no problem and burn anywhere from 550-600 calories, but I can barely run 2 blocks outside without getting winded. Good question though!

Check your body fat. I had the same problem. Mine was 53% when I started. I was gaining muscle and losing fat which is why I'm only down 9 pounds in over a year, but now I'm at least 39% bf. If that's not the problem, I've been told it takes a good 6 weeks to get a good workout plan going before you see weight loss. Hang…

Just mention that it's not just weight loss, it's about being healthy. Put it into a getting healthy perspective and maybe he'll get the picture. He may not for awhile, so just keep doing…
