If you are able to, head to a running store and have your gait tested. Most will do it for free. I was having shin splints and found out that I was not running correctly.

I have used them on days when it was too yucky to walk outside. I think it's a great way to get started! It is broken up into 15 minute-1 mile sections(if I remember right), which may be just right for a new mother! Congrats on the baby:)

Bump I'd like to know more about this, but can't read it all right now. I'm reading the New Rules of Lifting for Women and it says that I should eat ~1700 cals on non-lifting days and ~1900 on lifting days. However, a trainer at the gym told me I need to eat 1200-1500.

I'll tell you one thing. My floors are a lot cleaner if I log when I scrub them. Personally I don't think it's anyone's business what exercise I log UNLESS I ask them to critique my diary. Do that and be prepared to hear people tell you what you are doing wrong.
