Awesome job! That really is the stuff that counts the most... one of the biggest reasons I started on here was because I have high blood pressure and high cholestoral and I'm 27 - eek! I'm waiting 6 months to get bloodwork done again (so that will be in June), but I'm hopeful for the same results as you. Congrats!

Lacey, I hope everything goes okay with the councellor. It doesn't sound fun at all, but if in the end it improves things, then it will totally be worthwhile. Still, I'm sorry you're dealing with that. No fun. And thai food is amazing! Yum! Amy, I pretty much guarantee that next week you'll have some ridiculous loss, since…

Couple of things... What kind of cable do you have? A lot of them have fitness tv on demand... I have comcast, and in the tv on demand there's an entire exercise tv section that will let you try out workouts for free. Might be a nice way to get some to get you an idea of what you like. Insanity and P90X are somewhat…

Annette, no goals are weird! Its good that you know what you need to work on to be able to maintain this permanently. So much of eating and exercising is emotional, so its awesome that you are trying to get to the bottom of that and build from there. Kendall, I'm bummed that you're in such a funk... weather is always…

Oh holy crap, I did Plyometrics from P90X this morning. That was awesome. I finished about 2 hours ago and my legs are still a little wobbly, not to mention the chest and back soreness from yesterday. It feels AMAZING. I noticed yesterday I was hungrier more than usual, and I'm guessing that's because the workout has been…

Hi Eunice!

Google P90x schedule... It will give you a breakdown week by week of what workouts you are supposed to do on what day.

Can I just say that I think avocados are the greatest food ever put on this earth? Seriously, I love them soo much. This morning for breakfast i chopped up avocado, tomato, basil, red pepper, and onion, sauteed it a little and ate it over a piece of toast with an egg. Yum. Plus it was a super welcome change from oatmeal,…

I'm liking everyone's goals! Yay new challenge! My goals: 1. P90X 6 days a week with some sort of additional cardio on the strength days 2. Pre-planning meals even on the weekends to keep myself accountable for cals... plus logging of course 3. Find ONEderland. Its 12.2 pounds. Which is probably a little lofty of me, but I…

Just bumping so I don't lose it. Nice job everyone!!!

15 minutes left and I'm sneaking out of work... my mantra right now is "I will run when I get home". I'm telling you all this so you can ask me on Monday if I didn't, and then give me crap if I bailed. Amy, I kinda want to buy the Veganomicon just because of its name... it reminds me of Evil Dead. (I'm hoping you get this…

Noelle, I just had a protein thought for you... soybeans... steamed edamame with a little sea salt is awesome... and low in calories too!

Good morning girls! Today is going to be a looong day... I got up at 5:15 so I could yoga and shred, then came into work... will be here til about 5, then going home to hopefully squeeze in a run, then Chris and I will be packing up and driving to Illinois for the weekend. My parents live just a little west of Champaign,…

Final weigh in... started at 226.6, this morning I'm 216.4... 10.2 pounds! I wanted to lose 10! YAY!!!!!
-
Holy crap I totally forgot I was doing this challenge! Sorry for the lack of posting... I weigh in on Friday mornings so I'll get a final number in tomorrow am... but for progress thus far, my starting weight was 226.6, and last Friday I was 219 or so. Again, sorry I've been MIA from this thread. Happy St. Patrick's Day!…

SO... I totally went outside yesterday (how could I not? Its finally spring!!!) and jogged/walked. I did 2 miles in 30 minutes, so 15 minute miles, which is so insanely slow, but I'm not beating myself up for it, because I did it. I downloaded an app on my phone (I have a droid) called cardio trainer and it uses GPS to…

Welcome Liz! Everyone here is super friendly/chatty.... some have been together for forever, some (like me) just joined a little bit ago. Feel free to chat about whatever, and ask any questions... everyone on here is full of all kinds of knowledge that can help you out! Lacey, I'm sorry work has been so insane for you. I…

Amy, so excited that you are rockin' smaller pants... that is the GREATEST feeling. I also always find it super interesting to see how many different heights/weights/etc wear the same size pants. When I started MFP I was 240 and wearing an 18... I could still squeeze into some of my 16s, but it sure wasn't pretty. Now most…

Hey everybody! Well, weekend didn't go as awesome as I had hoped when it comes to calories, but what can you do. Goal for food on Friday was 1569, I ate like 2200. Saturday was AWFUL... no exercise and we went the greatest greasy spoon for breakfast, plus it was my husbands birthday party so there was lots of pizza and…

Happy weigh in day everyone! Victoria, I agree that holding each other accountable for calories is awesome. I'm set up to lose 2lbs a week. Goal 1280/ Food 1410/ Exercise 268/ 138 remaining. Andrea, any weight loss is better than no weight loss! Congrats on keeping the scale headed in the down direction! I'm super sorry…

Kristina and Victoria, you guys are running superstars. So awesome. Kristina, I can't believe you are going to train for the 1/2 marathon and do insanity. That is, ahem, INSANE. And very impressive. Kendall, the more you talk about p90x, the less I want to try it. :( Maybe you can tell me that its super fun and…

Not a ton to say that hasn't already been said, but you definitely should not be losing more weight. You need to tone. Weight training should be your primary goal. And please, please, please, eat enough calories to sustain your body. Forcing your metabolism into starvation mode isn't going to do you any good. This is about…
-
I am totally going to make that lentil soup, Kristina. It sounds amazing. And for the record, I don't think you have anything to feel out of shape about... so awesome that you do all of the running that you do! I can only hope that someday I've worked up to that. Kendall, I have totally taken to working out without a shirt…

Hey Everyone! Holy crap, I didn't get on the board for 2 days and I missed SO much... not really sure where to start, sorry if I miss a ton of stuff. Lacey, don't beat yourself up about the scale, and don't give up. Working out is SO good for you... not only are you burning the calories while doing it, but your body has to…

Oh and one more thing... Amy and Andrea, do you guys watch Tosh.O? Did you see this weeks? If you did, I almost threw up when I saw the elephant/hyena thing. Hilarious, but SO disgusting!

Happy Friday everyone! Victoria and Kristina, way to represent Michigan! I'm in Lansing (went to MSU). Kendal, thanks for the input on the HRM... hopefully sometime over the summer I'll get one. And I totally cracked up at your P90X comment - hilarious! Once I'm through 30DS, I think I'm gonna try that. I'm still such a…
-
Morning everyone! I just finished day 10 of level 1 of 30DS... which means tomorrow I have to do level 2, which considering how sore I already am, I'm a little bit nervous about.. I usually take Saturdays off to give myself some recovery time, so I have that to look forward to. We are headed to Detroit tomorrow night for…

Hi everyone... hoping its cool to join in on this - been reading through and it seems like you are a really great, supportive group of people. My name is Kerry, I'm 27 (almost 28), 5'9 and currently about 226. When I started MFP in the end of January I was at 240. I have been married for a litle over 2 years, and its just…

I missed posting start weight and goals, but since I've been weighing in every Friday already, I know what I was last Friday. I'd love to lose 10 pounds by the 17th if possible, so I'm gonna need to start busting my butt. SW: 226.6 CW: 225.1 I have been doing most of my working out from home, with light weights (combos of…
