You stated that you are still trying to burn fat, and toning will come after that. Well, that's actually counterproductive. You will burn MORE FAT, but doing strength training, than by doing massive amounts of cardio. There are many studies to back this up, but I will just give you this one, and let you do the rest of the…

Basically, what everyone is saying, is you have to FEED muscles in order to gain muscles! It's science. I have just finished a serious weight and fat reduction, after eating at a deficit for several months. Now, I am moving into a muscle building phase, and the KEY is choosing the right foods. Just because you are…

Franci27 is correct. Once you reach the weight you want, it's basically a trial and error to see what it takes to maintain. Since you are a smaller person, you probably really don't need as many calories.

That is AWESOME! Keep going! You are an inspiration!

For the most part, simply creating a CONSISTENT deficit, is all it takes. However, consuming the right kinds of calories makes a HUGE difference, as well. If you are eating at a deficit, but still consuming too many carbs, and fats, and not enough protein, you will not necessarily see the results you want. But, the real…

I noticed that you said you are lifting Heavy for 45 minutes every day. When you do that, you are growing muscle, which may be one of the things that is causing you to not lose weight. If you really want to lose weight and fat, try light lifting instead. Also, try to reach a greater caloric deficit. something closer to…

Give me 80. I just ran in 30 degrees today, and it sucks. I hate the feeling of my sweat freezing on my body, and the cold air really hurts my lungs. Ideally, I will take 60-70, with low humidity, light winds, and sunny!

I was hoping this would be a more active group! Anyway, If anyone is still active on here, and lives in the East Dallas/Whiterock/Lakewood areas, and wants a running partner, send me a message.

It's not just the calories you're consuming, but the type of calories. You likely need to increase your protein and reduce carbohydrates. you should be consuming in the range of 100-140 grams of protein per day, and less than 100 grams of carbohydrates. Also, if you haven't already, cut out the diet sodas. They may be zero…

As a waiter, and bartender for more then 15 years, I DO consider it to be exercise. However, I do not log it. I feel it is covered by the moderately active lifestyle setting, and would simply cause me to consume more calories, because MFP tells me I have more available. But, to each their own. Just remember, as someone…
