When the SAD comes along, I call her Heidi as all I want to do is hide. To kick her *kitten* I have the light and find it a huge help as the mornings start to get darker. Exercise is the best thing for to send her back to Grandpa and her goats. Although, it can be SO hard to get off the couch. I mean, you know you'll feel…

I hear ya, I'm 5'2'' and keep falling off the wagon. SW: 187lbs CW: 180lbs TW: 170lbs (to start) Finding it so hard. I exercise 5 hours of kickboxing per week and run (very slowly) 2 miles, twice a week, but I love beer. Sigh......

To be honest I'm finding this thread a HUGE help. I think admitting these things "out loud" is good for drawing a line under them and saying "never again"

agree with the above re C25K Also, if you're starting, start slow. For weeks I hardly jogged, but did what I call the fat girl trot :) Faster than walking but slower than jogging. The build the distance and the speed will come. Good luck!

Man I love it. Trying to go to 3 classes a week, it's such a great workout and stress reliever. I lost over a 14 pounds doing KB and circuit training. Also thinking of going for a belt! Eeep! Only yellow, but for a woman who was always the fat girl in gym class, it feels great. I think cardio kb is great too, it's a fab…

Right there with you. Am 5'2'' and weigh 170. I have a loooooooooooooooong way to go. To be honest I don't think I've been 140 since I was in my teens, but that's no excuse.

you know your own body and what it needs. I think the main thing is to listen to it. If you feel you can keep going 5/6/7 days in a row, the great stuff! But take at least one day off a week. If you feel guilty, go for a walk or a swim. Do what feels right to you

Hi Aneajo! Defintiely rest...your body needs to relax the muscles you've been working especially if you're just starting out. Rule of thumb for me is 3 days excercise one day off.

Just finished week 2 and am Dreading week 3. It's a big bump up to 3mins non-stop. But I'm loving the results. My cardio is going great and I've realised that I do have those leg muscles that other people have :) Any advice for week 3?

I was doing cardio everyday and started to get breathless at night, so went to my doc. Apparently, we need a rest day every 4th day. It lets the muscles relax and heal up. Just a rest from cardio, mind, not a nothing day. So maybe every 4th day, just do some toning/weights and then take your Sunday to chill and do nothing.
