  • Ten days in and things are definately getting easier. Am not even thinking about having to say no to chocolate (mind you it helps that people have stopped offering it as well!) How’s it going for everyone else? xxx
  • Must admit things are getting better. Haven't thought about needing chocolate for the last few days.
  • feel free to add me. xxx
  • Like most of you I started this give up chocolate challenge on 1 November and 5 days in it’s actually starting to get easier, although if I’d done this for Lent I’d have considered myself a failure by Day 2! (When we were out I ended up having a hot chocolate, but to be fair it was out of a drinks machine and none of the…
  • Not gone too bad here either. Not only avoided chocolate but also declined birthday cake being handed out at work. Am going to try and give up cakes as well. Here's hoping it all goes well. xxx
  • I could always do with more motivation than I seem to get from friends. Although they are supportive and always commenting on how well I'm doing some of them have said that I can get a bit obsessed with logging all of my food and I should lighten up a bit!!! xxx
  • That's great. Well done. Must admit I've put a pair of trousers on this morning and they feel very baggy round my bum. I'm going to have to keep my suit jacket on all day at work so they don't look too bad. Of course hubby noticed that they were loose and commented on the fact that looked a lot better. Not too sure if that…
  • Only two hours to go before no more chocolate. Good luck everyone. xxx
  • Healthy food choices not too difficult but hubbie seems to be having problems with portion sizes again. Must have got out of the habit when we were away. Exercise challenge not as easy as I thought it would be. Seem to have lost my momentum. Have joined another group starting tomorrow - no chocolate for a month.
  • Am going to try my hardest with these but am heading off on holiday tomorrow morning. Will be keeping an eye on what I'm eating but won't be logging on. Exercise challenges will probably not be completed but will doing plenty of walking. Good luck everyone. xxx
  • I'm still here. Managing food challenges OK but struggling with exercise ones. Tend to have to adapt them to something that I can do and then push myself a bit more each time. Here's hoping for a happy weigh day for everyone. xxx
  • Seriously stop beating yourself up over this we all go over and at least you know why it happened. You are only human! One of these days I'm going to start listening to things I post on here and learn to practice what I preach. Together we will all get to where we want to be. xxx
  • It certainly has helped. No matter how many times I've tried in the past I could never loose more that about 7lbs. Now I'm at 21lbs since Christmas!!! Like many people have already said it helps having other like minded people for support as friends and family always seem to be trying to sabotage all of our hard work!!! I…
  • Exercise challenges for the week will be 50 prisoner get ups, 50 burpees and doing cardio I wouldn't normally do (am going to struggle with this one as I don't go to the gym). I also want to improve on the length of time I can do a plank for. Food challenges will be eat more protein (am going to struggle getting to 110g,…
  • Only managed to complete some of the challenges again. Really thought that the food ones would be easy to complete but there were two that I failed at (I think). Every time I tried to fill my diary in at the beginning of the day something would change along the way. The closest I got to completing it was on Friday I knew…
  • The challenges I struggled with were the having 110g of protein (what vegetables can I get that much protein from? I'm not a vegetarian and enjoy eating meat but there's only so much you can have on your plate!). Also never did the 'Do a piece of cardio equipment you normally never do' - I don't go to a gym, just try to do…
  • Woo hoo - in that case first couple of food challenges complete! Pre - completed diary, except for actually marking it as complete as I don't know how much water I'm going to get through (and I don't know if hubbie is going to cook something different).
  • I'm having a (sort of) home made curry for dinner tonight - made with curry sauce from a jar. Will this count for this challenge, even though it's not from a take away?
  • You bet it happens to most of us. Must admit the worst time for me was when I went through a stage of having a male personal trainer. Of course I knew the reason for my 5lb weight gain, but he just kept asking my what I thought I'd been doing wrong all week!!! He was impressed the following week though when I'd 'lost' the…
  • First thought on this was no way - I'm not sure I'll be able to complete anything too hard, but after reading the positive comments below then why not! It's just something else for us all to work towards. I should be fitter by then anyway. And thank you Meg for giving us the motivation to finally reach our goals. xxx
  • Never thought of rewarding myself for this but having my waist back and being able to say "I've lost xxx lbs" did feel rewarding enough. But now you've all got me thinking... perhaps a new wardrobe will be in order.
  • I've just created my star chart (similar to the one I made for my daughter when we were potty training) so now every time I complete a challenge I can cross it off or find some stickers to make it a bit more colourful. It's going to be hidden in one of the kitchen cupboards though - if it gets stuck on the fridge I think…
  • Of course no one will shout. I was easing myself in this week too.
  • I second that one! I'm struggling if I don't have first coffee by 9.30 (and every one in the office tends to pay for it too!) Can we just ease ourselves in gently say go from four mugs a day to two?
  • Hi, my name is Vicki, I’m 36 and would like to loose 8lbs by Christmas. This probably sounds a bit of a strange number to some but I’ve lost 17lbs since January and this would take me to a nice round 12 stone. Mind you my “ticker” will keep changing as I try to change my goal by 5lbs at a time that way I feel as though…
