I use almond flour. It is more expensive than wheat flour, but it also has more protein, fat and nutrients, and less carbs. This website has a wealth of recipes using almond flour: http://www.elanaspantry.com/ The recipes are all gluten free, and even though I don't avoid gluten, I find the recipes tasty (and easy).

I don't take Ubiquinol, but I do take a CoQ10 supplement. I take it because I have gum loss and I've definitely seen an improvement in my gums! It's also used to lower blood pressure and I can feel a difference in mine (I have low BP to begin with, so I get dizzy when it gets too low). I haven't heard of the effects that…

Some high calorie/low carb snacks for me are: Nuts/seeds String cheese Turkey pepperoni (plain, sprinkled with cheese and microwaved, or dried to pepperoni chips) Turkey bacon Spoonful of peanut butter (or almond, sunflower, etc) Greek yogurt (plain with stevia to reduce carbs)

I usually bring my own packed breakfast (or lunch) to office potlucks. I sit with everyone else to eat, so I still feel like I'm participating, but I don't have to worry about what I'm eating. Of course I get looks and some people ask questions, but I think that's easier to deal with that than the regret that you're…

Try shopping at multiple grocery stores. I do most of my shopping at Publix (I'm also in Florida) but I usually get meat at Winn Dixie since they have much better sales on meat. Both of their ads are online, so I can plan my shopping lists before I head out.

I love stevia!! I've found that the brand is really important. I use KAL and it doesn't have any bitter aftertaste: http://www.iherb.com/KAL-Pure-Stevia-Extract-Alcohol-Free-4-fl-oz-118-ml/18986 Also, if its too sweet, you're using too much! It's really concentrated, so you only need a tiny amount. I use about 8 drops in a…
