  • Try roadrunnersports.com They have something called "road dog" where you answer some questions about foot type, body type etc and then they recommend a shoe. Also, if you call them, they have very helpful and knowledgeable people. Prices are good too. Good luck!
  • I am in a similar situation. My understanding is that long and slow burns fat, harder is good heart conditioning. I am extending my runs but still moving (really) slowly. Maybe we should do the slow runs to burn the fat and do an occasional shorter, faster one to mix it up.
  • An American cup measure will hold 8 fl oz, or about 250ml. An ounce is an ounce around the world. So take any "vessel" or container and measure into it 8 fl oz or 250ml. That is then the equivalent of an American cup volume. You will always have the issue of whether to pack it or not. Let's face it, if it's only lettuve it…
  • Take a liquid measuring jug and fill to 250ml. Find a tea cup or similar that will just fill with the volume in the measured jug. Use that tea cup as your "cup" measure.

Americans use volume and we…
  • It's simple - eat more. 900 calories is not enough. Take a day off exercise occasionally to have a rest.
  • Just do it! When I need motiviation I simply click the button for completing the days entries and of course it tells me that in 5 weeks I'll be about 5lbs lighter. If I go back and add 45 of elliptical and "complete" again, it tells me that if every day were like that, in 5 weeks I'd be more like 10lbs lighter. If that's…
