I use Slim Fast shakes & meal bars for convenience and it has helped me. I don't always have the time to make something to eat because I'm always running around.

Part of the reason I want to lose another 28 pounds before I turn 40 in July is to look good in front of an old boyfriend that I'll see on my birthday.

31.5 pounds & it has taken me 11 months. Apparently I am a SLOW loser! That loser part sounds really bad but you know what I mean. :laugh:

Most fast food places have nutritional information on their websites now. I always look there before I go anyplace.

People always look for something to blame when they don't want to admit they can't/won't control themselves. No, I don't believe food addiction exists. I believe weak will exists & I believe that exists in other aspects of life outside of food.

Congrats! Out of curiosity, what kind of scale did you buy? I have an iHealth scale & I love it but, like most of us, am looking for the most accurate scale I can find.

As much as I hate to agree with this, it is absolutely true. I have the same problem. My clothes are looser everywhere except my stomach & I can't stand it! It would figure that this is the last place the weight wants to come off.

I use a Polar FT4 & am extremely happy with it. It was on sale at Best Buy under $100 this past Christmas & it's the watch/strap combo. Works great!

Looks like I won't have a choice. After reading ^, I changed my activity level from sedentary to lightly active because I am more active after I get home from work. Doing that changed my calories from 1200 to 1410. I have a bad feeling that I won't be losing weight if I'm eating more. I hope I'm wrong.

Having been there before, how did you find out the amounts needed? And I'll also apologize for taking that out of context. This is the first time weight loss is working for me so I'm trying not to mess anything up. I have an iHealth scale so I know my lean body mass & things of that nature.

I actually have more weight to lose, the next 30 is part of a small goal. I'll have another 50 to go after that. I am reaching my goals in proteins, fats, etc...my diet consists mostly of fish & veggies and I exercise daily. Please don't assume I'm not reaching those goals. I'm working hard to reach those each day as well.

My pic is really me. I never thought to use one of someone else because I'm here to lose weight. I figure if I can admit on a public website that I need to lose weight I might as well let everyone there see who I am, too! For other people, I can't say I've thought about it.
