  • you can eat anything. but keep in mind, richer foods (think high fat or high sugar content) have more calories, of course. Therefore, things like fast food and desserts should be eaten in moderation. you may find that eating frozen/prepackaged foods can be hard to stay satisfied on while staying within your budget, while…
  • Everyday, log it and move on. If its high, work on it, and hope for a better outcome tomorrow. They say the successful ones (people who keep the weight off) weigh themselves frequently.
  • I joined in 2013. Didn't get with it until 2015. Lost 95 lbs using MFP, and have been maintaining for almost a year now. I log my food and workouts every day. I don't post a lot, but I try to stay active among my friends. I'm always looking out for new friends with similarities. :)
  • skipping breakfast is ok, as long as you do not feel fatigued or light headed from doing so. However, I love breakfast. I like starting my day off with a healthy breakfast - it sort of sets the mood for my day. :) Some days I even have 2 breakfasts!
  • Is he muscular at all, or is he a couch-potato figure? Basically, if I were to see a personal trainer to improve in strength rather than lose weight, and he/she happened to be 'fat' yet visibly muscular (muscle under the fat) I would think its ok. However, if they are not in some sort of good physical condition then I…
  • Do not deprive yourself of your craving. You have to save calories for the end of the day for that sweet treat. Are you into cooking? I love making cookies and brownies for my after-dinner deserts. I use less sugar and butter when baking them so they usually end up being between 130-150 calories per, which is perfect for…
  • How often do you eat? I feel like if I wait too long to eat, I tend to overeat. So eating something, even if its just a small snack, every 3-4 hours. What are you eating before and after your workout? After the workout, something with complex carbs would be best, like a banana, an apple, or a small bowl of old fashioned…

  • best way I found to cut calories/replace foods is to shop from the outsides of the grocery store. basically, buy raw meats and fresh vegetables - frozen veggies work and any beans are great too.
  • raw. but if you freeze raw, you can weigh it frozen, its about the same weight.
  • 3 oz of non-fat greek yogurt with 1 oz of fruit add in and a pack of stevia - 12g of protein for ~80 calories should hold you over until dinner :) or a babybel cheese, its between 50-70 calories depending on which one you get for 6g of protein. or an apple, 5g of fiber which usually lasts me about 1 hr.
  • I don't have a pet name for my husband, but sometimes my husband calls me 'sweetie,' which I like. :)
  • I workout in the morning but I have to have something small to eat before I exercise. I've tried fasted cardio, it really sucks. I eat 150 calories before my workout, usually old fashioned oats, or something balanced in macros.
  • I've had old fashioned oats ungarnished, but it is pretty boring after awhile. I also used to add it dry to my yogurt (gives it an odd texture though, so many probably wouldn't like that). But, the way I usually make it is with a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and a stevia packet.
  • The people who have these procedures and end up gaining the weight back is all due to not learning the right way to lose the weight. They put all of their faith into the procedure, and may follow it for some time. But, when they get to a comfortable range, their faith lies in their success, and they think they can get away…
  • Strangely enough, I didn't get comments like that when I was heavy. Now, however, I get comments like "you look like you're 12 years old" because I'm so small... The hurt goes both ways, unfortunately.
  • I just made some PB2 chocolate chip cookies last night! 150 calories each. I haven't tried one yet, saving it for dessert for tonight, but the batter was good! lol. I posted the recipe on my instagram. https://www.instagram.com/p/BJrGJZ1BEX-/?taken-by=vixtris I also like spreading it on my protein pancakes. Mmm!
  • I was dealing with binge eating for a little while. I still do from time to time, but its not nearly as bad as it has been in the past. What I have realized is how I feel when I am about to binge. I'm usually hungry. HANGRY actually. What helps is being sure you are eating enough throughout the day. If you are starving…
  • Hey! I'm also working on my bachelors in business, marketing though. Last year I begun my lifestyle change. I did it slowly though, and that is the key to making it stick. During my last year, I pre-made the meals I ate before class for the week. I ate a snack at school (protein bar usually, and maybe some crackers, nuts,…
  • I'm like that with popcorn (the packaged kind, preferably a sweet kind) and sometimes uncontrollable around nuts. It seems to me, for nuts, if I give myself a little bit every day, then I don't go hog wild on them, or at least not nearly as often.
  • I don't cheat on anything. Not days, not meals. I have what I want and I make it fit. If I go over a little bit, I make up for it over the next day(s).
  • All I can suggest is to eat more, obviously. If you feel like you can't eat much more than you already are, then try adding some nuts throughout the day. 1 oz is typically around 160 calories, so it doesnt take many to bump up your calorie intake that way. peanut butter is also good. :)
  • I did a little experiment with making iced coffee at home the other day. I didn't calculate the calories, but I would assume it was about 200. I did 1.5 cups chilled black coffee, 1/4 cup whole milk (can be replaced with almond milk or whatever lower cal substitute), 1/2 scoop (100 cals) chocolate protein powder (or you…
  • Lol @ title. It depends on where you will be riding? I prefer a mountain-type bike, so the tires are a little on the thicker side with good tread, compared to a city/street bike. I also like a big seat, even though my butt is on the smaller side, I just don't like the feeling of a bike seat wedging up my butt.
  • @RicReed2014 I'm with you, I hate small talk. To me, its just useless information. I don't need my brain cluttered with useless information, I have more important things to think about! Let's skip the how are you's and tell me about something interesting.
  • For me, weight loss was a learning process that led to a lifestyle change. When I lost weight, I ate the same diet as before (full calorie soda, fast food, easy to heat packaged foods, ect), just less of it. But, when I started maintenance, I learned that I had to change my diet if I wanted to maintain easily. I had to…
  • I like these ideas. You could do an at home spa day, give yourself a foot soak, bubble bath, pedi/mani. But, these things do cost money... money for bubble bath soap, money for nail polish. I mean, you should probably give yourself some sort of budget.
  • Maybe find a recipe to make an iced coffee at home, and add less chocolate or just make it straight up black :D
