I know I'm not eating enough if I stand up from sitting or laying down and immediately feel dizzy. Lightheaded and shaky are also symptoms that I need to eat.

Thank you for sharing this. I've been maintaining for about 3 months now. My original goal was 110, then 105. I got as low as 102. Now I'm hovering around 106, trying to get back to 105. Your post helps me. I am aware that I need to focus on how I feel and how I look rather than a stupid number on the scale. But, I also…

@smileycanuck Sorry to say this, but your sister is likely not going to say anything to you about it. I am in the same situation. I saw my sister last Christmas, it was the first time she had seen me thin. She saw me one other time during my weight loss. She didn't say a word either times, and honestly, I expected she…

I'm still trying to find the sweet spot for my exercise regimen. Currently I do an hour of cardio 5-6 times a week and 30 minutes of lifting once a week. I was doing my workouts in the evening after dinner, but I've recently moved my workout time to morning/early evening. This has been working nicely for me, as I feel I…

Thank you all for your kind comments! I'm so happy I have inspired some of you to continue your weight loss efforts. If anyone has any questions about struggles during your weight loss that I may relate to, I'd be happy to help and give any advise I can. I'm always welcome to new friends, but please include a message with…

100% whole wheat toast, cut in half if you really want to cut the carbs, but whole wheat is better for you since it has more fiber and protein, and instead of butter, make an egg omelette for on top.

Good news is, you didn't gain. Bad news is, sorry to break it to you, but you have not been eating in a deficit. You are logging incorrectly somewhere. You absolutely needs to weigh everything you eat using a digital food scale to know how many calories you are consuming (most accurately). I don't know what kind of…

The way you write this make it seem like you don't enjoy walking? Find enjoyment in the journey, thats how you make a healthy habit stick.

Costco has Tostidos bean chips. 5g of protein and fiber per serving :) I also like Triscuits, they have 3g of protein and fiber. Also, keep in mind, you don't have to eat a whole serving. When I snack, I like to have a little variety of this and that, so I'm usually measuring out a half serving of things.

I don't have kids, but I am young enough to remember the boredom of an unplanned summer break. My husband and I have not made any concrete plans for this summer, but I try to plan an active date with him at least once a week. So far, we have tried hiking, biking, and walking/shopping around downtown. On my own I have also…

It is very possible you are just retaining water. Try drinking more water and eating less sodium over the next few days.

I use them as a bonus when focusing on a deficit. If I'm maintaining, I'll eat them back.

I don't have a lot of time in the mornings to make breakfast. So, instead I premake lunches for the week that I can heat in the microwave. Not breakfast food, but I make grilled chicken with rice, quinoa, cheese, green beans, and a slice of whole wheat bread. For a kinda fast breakfast, I'll also do a bacon egg and cheese…

I use spray olive oil when frying, but I try not to use a lot.

I've lost 98 lbs in 14 months (but a total of about 150 from my highest), so it was an average rate of just under 2 lbs a week. Some weeks I would only lose 1 lbs, some weeks none, some weeks 2+ lbs, some weeks even had a gain... I exercised and counted calories (using a food scale) every day. No foods were off limits. I…

You are heavy (no offense) so this means you are burning quite a bit of calories during your workouts, even if theyre only 30 minutes. depending on your effort, I would just guestimate you probably burn about 400-500 calories in a 30 minute cardio workout, if you are giving it good effort. you only increased your intake by…

I wouldnt say it tastes better frozen, but a frozen banana has the consistency similar to ice cream, which is different :) I think Reese's pb cups are way better frozen.

@derek1237654 If you haven't seen it, you should watch South Park season 9, episode 14 :)

Old Navy is notorious for vanity sizing. I swim in their size XS shirts, and wear size 2 jeans from there, where other stores I may be a S in shirts and size 3-4 in jeans. However, when I wore plus size clothing, I was a 16 at Torrid and an 18 at Old Navy...

I'm not in a similar situation, as I am pretty skinny lol. But, if you are happy with yourself now, and you feel that it is more manageable to maintain at your current weight, then why not? If on the other hand you would like to still lose more weight, you can always do it at a much slower pace. Eating just 100 calories…

don't waste your calories on drinking coconut oil. trust me, i tried it for a good month or two, it doesnt do anything.

I second this! I always take a picture of my plate when I'm out. It makes it a little easier to help guestimate while logging.

Success story here!! I was young, very young. I really was 14 when I met my husband- yes online- even worse in an online shooter game lol. We talked for years before meeting in person. At first, he was just an acquaintance that I played the game frequently with, then we became friends on messenger and frequently…

I just had 5 oz of chopped grilled chicken on top of a slice of whole wheat bread with 1 tbsp lite mayo and .5 oz cheese. 298 cal, 11 carb, 12 fat, 39 protein. delicious!

Its been such a long time, since I've been without you (something like that... Boston song :P)

Yes, but not necessarily active among friends/community
-
inactive meaning the ones who just complete diaries and record their weights, not actually post statuses.
