Yes, but weight issues were just one symptom. My hair was falling out in clumps, lost my period, dizzy all the time, etc so it was clear something was off. Odds are you're eating too much. If more accurate logging doesn't work, check in with your doc to help fix any issues that may be affecting how many calories you are…

I wouldn't be surprised if OP is emetophobic. The aversion to any pills with nausea as a possible side effect and fear of food poisoning is very common with it (though aversion based on pure taste or texture is completely beyond me). I have been emetophobic for as long as I remember. Therapy wasn't enough. I needed…

Yep this. Two very different systems being taxed. I'm not sure what's normal or not with a pacemaker so I'm not even going to touch on that, but assuming you are healthy enough to run, you just need to slowly build up your endurance and eventually speed.
-
Way too soon. Also, weight fluctuations of a few pounds are normal, so it's best to look at long term weight trends to determine if your current plan is working.

Yes on sauces. No on things like salt, pepper, and dried spices like basil. Too bothersome and almost no calories in those.

Are you against supplementing with metamucil? I'm honestly not sure about allergy/cross reactions so sorry if psyllium is out. Maybe adding in something like artichokes could help too - very high in fiber and not a huge calorie cost. What kinds of fruits and veggies are you eating? If you're not already, maybe switching…

I have an UP. I wear it on my ankle to solve the issue with arm swings that another poster mentioned. I compared the steps I got that way with another step meter that is worn on the hip and they were in sync - the arm wasn't working for me since I'm almost always carrying stuff. I mostly got it for the sleep tracker…

Yep, this! It's demotivating to see the jump in weight, but somewhere in the midst of hormone swings I remind myself it's water weight :)

Olive oil, avocado, nuts and but butters, eat the skin on roasted chicken, potatoes... Why can't you eat the stuff you listed? Are there allergies or a digestive disease in play?

My doctor did me this is the correct way to use it - only I was told 5-10 min between puffs. The idea is for the first puff to open up the lungs partway so the second puff can get even further into the airway. I find my inhalers so much more effective now! On really bad days I can't run as fast or far, but overall I find I…

I was on 80mg for gastroparesis. It could either be that or to help with milk supply. I believe it's used off label for that. As far as weight goes, OP, if your prolactin levels are high, it may alter how you lose weight so you may need to adjust your calorie goal to compensate for the medication. That said, if you're…

Oh god MoviPrep. I think there should be a rule that anyone who prescribes that awful shite should have to take the entire course themselves first. Lemon wedges were my friend. I would suck on one as a chaser after every glass. It really helped cut through that slimy salty residue it left in my mouth. In addition to…

Homeopathy is nonsense but there are alternative medicines that have some evidence behind them - magnesium, feverfew, and butterbur are some. They are generally taken as preventatives in order to be the most effective. If you're having a lot of migraines, prescription preventatives may benefit you. There are a number that…

I have a whole cabinet just for my tea collection! I have plenty of standard teas and a lot of specialties from local places, but my favorites right now are grape scented oolong, English breakfast with dried cherries, and green rooibos with mango and rose petals. Yummy!

Warming up your finger and massage are my go to methods too. Swinging your arm back and forth by your side a few times can help too, as it helps blood to pool a bit in your hands. If you have a lancing device with an adjustable depth, play with the different settings- you'll find the sweet spot where you can get a good…

Mashed avocado/guac, hummus, baked potato with melted cheese, plain Greek yogurt, sugar free boost/ensure, tomato soup, split pea soup, well done roasted carrots, beets, and other root veggies, cod and other soft fishes, eggs, nut butters, hm... I know there is tons more but hopefully that will help spark some ideas.

Started running this August, as in a few months ago? I agree with the above, too much too soon is likely the biggest factor here.

Have they checked your vitamin D levels? That's a crucial component too, and easy to fix if you have a deficiency. Edited due to stupid autocorrect

Also something about ingredients you can't pronounce being dangerous. Lucky for me my major forced me to take organic chemistry for years so I get to eat anything I want!

5'7", started at 181. Currently at 146-8. Before I gained all the weight, I was 125-135. Currently losing at around 1500-1600 calories per day, but very slowly. I'm going to have to scale back some more.

If your digestive habits change in unexplained ways you really should get it checked out. It's usually something simple and benign, but not always. Better to be safe.

You said it in your post- CBT and/or whatever your treatment plan is is what you need. My OCD is around germs and hand washing. I have trouble eating food I buy if it's past a few days old, even though I know objectively it's fine. The issue with OCD is the risk of a vicious downward spiral. You feel temporarily better…

I moved and no longer have easy access to tropical fruits. I miss guava so much! And really cheap sushi - not a fruit clearly, but I miss it all the same.

In light mode? If anything, that's an overestimate. Light mode isn't much different than taking a walk. It can feel like more since your movement is condensed into clusters. It's still a fun workout though. Bang out a marathon of heavy mode and challenge songs and you can get a nice sweat going!

All those meds are a crapshoot in terms of what side effects (if any) you'll get. I had really bad issues on other meds, but so far Zoloft has been weight neutral for me (I'm a few months into my second time on it). Of course my experience means nothing for you :) just keep an eye on things so you can mitigate any issues…

I think you just need to be more accurate with logging. For example, a half a cup of oats measured in a cup is usually a lot more in grams than what is on the label- giving you more calories than you think. The brown sugar I've seen is 15 calories for a TEAspoon. A tablespoon would be 45. A handful of raisins is not an…

Have you read the book Eating For IBS by Heather Van Vorous? Many sufferers fund the advice in there very helpful. Many libraries will have a copy of it. It explains which types of food tend to be better for sufferers, and has some recipes too. Also, why the detox tea? It contains stimulant laxatives that your body can…

My thoughts exactly. Stronglifts is a progressive heavy weights program, 5 sets of 5 reps of each exercise (except deadlifts). It is a great program. Read up about it and think about giving it a try!

Honestly, 30-45 MPW is probably fine for your marathon as long as you aren't looking to race at a (relative to you) peak level. The risk of training on less miles is that A) your overall conditioning may not be adequate, and thus the race will be a long and painful experience, and B) your long run becomes a significant…
