I feel like those farming (and logging!) communities really need the calories and everyone else just keeps eating it like that because they like it so much ;)

Like a stew?
-
I'm with you there... but I don't like cheese so >.>
-
Same! But I didn't try poutine until I was an adult so I thought that was the reason.
-
I've heard of chocolate in it but I've never tried it! I'd want to make a homemade chili for that I think. Tonight is just canned chili.
-
You may not want to move there haha, the only place I've seen it done is the midwestern US (Nebraska, Kansas, etc). One of the schools I went to served cinnamon rolls with chili every time!
-
I don't know why but I've never thought of Canadians eating chili! I guess I figured you guys were all about the poutine ;)

I need to try that! I usually do quick oats because I don't have to think about it in advance. OP- my standard breakfasts are: - coconut greek yogurt with PB - 2 eggs, diced ham, fruit - mini bagel with light cream cheese, boiled egg whites, fruit - oatmeal with fruit and almond milk - peaches and cream oatmeal cut with…

I feel like it can change over your life, depending on what you need. When I was growing up and very poor, I 'skipped' breakfast because there was no breakfast and by the time I was in high school, I had convinced myself that breakfast made me sick. As an adult, I started eating small amounts for breakfast (toast, yogurt,…

I was never a breakfast person so it's something I continue to work but here are my go-to's: - whole grain english muffin with deli turkey and cheese, a tsp of butter so it's not so dry, side of fruit - oatmeal with fruit and an egg mixed in (cook the egg into it), sometimes with nuts - plain greek yogurt with fruit and…

I pre-pack a lunch so there is no excuse to go out. Usually I go ahead and pack leftover dinner into containers so it' grab and go for hubs. For myself, I prefer picnic style snack type foods (boiled eggs, deli meat, fruit, sliced veggies, nuts) but that's because when I pack my lunch, I'm usually outside. If I was still…

Logging helps. A few years ago for Lent, I cut out chocolate- OH BOY was that hard! But it was worth it because I was eating crazy amounts of it, digging through the cupboards for baking chips when I had a craving and wouldn't buy it. Now I can stop at a smaller portion so it was like hitting a reset button. Every now and…

Every day. I make the calories for it.
-
Chobani plain Greek yogurt Eggs (both of those because I have a hard time with protein) Reese's PB eggs (because yum)

A week isn't very long at all, it could be anything effecting that. Water weight from increasing activity or just salt intake. If you're a woman, it could be that TOM. Also, as you lose weight, you need to change up your cal/activity goals... but it doesn't sound like you're really stagnant, not at a week.

I haven't seen where you can add multiple days at once but once you add it for one day, it should be in your 'recent' list so it would be easier to add.

Thanks everyone :) I feel a little better today. I let myself sleep in. If it's not too icy I'm going to try a walk later. My gym is about a 25 min drive and with the ice... The kids were part of what I needed to get away from haha! I might also just take a long bath, do my nails, that kind of thing. On the plus…

I worked at McDs in college and we got a huge discount so I'd end up getting the 2 cheeseburger meal (large) with an OJ, 6 piece chicken nuggets, and an oreo mcflurry weekly. I was tiny- like barely breaking 100lbs. Then I volunteered to scrub the tile in the dining area because I felt bad standing around one day when we…

Wow, that's a big difference! I'd probably just put 1.5 cups or something and call it good for today. When I used to get the lean cuisines, I'd always add some of those steamable veggie bags to it to bulk it out. Now I don't even bother and just have easy to make stuff around or save up leftovers in preportioned containers.

I eat regular food, no meal plan per say. I eat the same things I make my family but I fit it into my goals. I've been crazy sick since Dec 9th so I'm only just getting back on track (slowly) but pre-sickness, a regular day for me was something like: Breakfast: a coconut Greek yogurt with PB stirred in OR a whole grain…

This is how I feel on the rare occassions I actually buy baked goods from a bakery. It never seems to live up to what I wanted in my head

Prunes are good too. They have a bad rap but I love them.

I'm glad you found something that works for you and helps you feel good :) I like bread BUT I like good quality, homemade FRESH bread so I end up eating it rarely. Now, if I make a batch of bread, fresh out of the oven with some butter you better bet I'm having a piece haha. I also agree with the weighing of food- it makes…

I don't usually eat things that work people have made. I used to either walk past it or tell myself I didn't like whatever it was (usually the things other people make aren't made how I like them so I'd end up eating it because I had to, not because it was good). I also don't like the idea of some people making food I eat.…

I used to be glad I didn't like PB because of the fat/cals but I've been putting a tbs in my coconut greek yogurt and it's so good. Worth the cal cost ;)
-
A few favs lately: *Coconut Greek yogurt with a tbs of PB- 245 cals *'egg mcmuffin' with a whole wheat english muffin, a slice of cheese, an egg and some turkey lunchmeat or turkey bacon and a bit of butter (opt)- 300 cals *a bagel with light cream cheese and an egg white 2oz turkey lunchmeat, and prunes/other fruit on the…

Keep it up :) I have a friend who does 4 mile walks daily and she's lost a good amount! You're moving, you're not sitting at home watching tv and eating and you're feeling good about yourself. Every small step!

Yes! I'm a big fan of multitasking haha. We went on a 45 min bonus walk to enjoy the chilly fall weather so that was nice too :)
-
I'm googling fall outfits and then trying on clothes (I take pics so I never have 'nothing to wear' days) so I'll be getting up every 10 min or so for a few minutes each time :D I have to write tonight but I'm going to do about 3 paragraphs and then get up for water or to stretch a bit.
-
I don't have a fit bit but my kids don't let me sit down for more than a 5 min shot anyway so I was up and moving today ;)
