  • One of my favs! I could eat this for days. I don't use the low carb tortillas but I get the fajita size because they are smaller but still satisfying. I also use plain greek yogurt instead of sour cream and no cheese because I just don't like it. I'll sometimes add in some tomatoes or other veggies I have on hand. Tonight,…
  • I was very low in Vit D (17) plus a few other things. I took a prescription dose for a few weeks and now I take an otc D3 every other day per my dr's request. I lost weight more steadily after being on it for a bit BUT I also have to take other supplements (such as iron, magnesium, b12 etc) so who knows if it's D related…
  • My hair doesn't get super sweaty when I work out but I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. I have super curly hair and I straighten it once a week so I don't want to ruin it by washing/having to do it all again. Sometimes I use baby powder but often I don't need it. Try wearing a head band that absorbs sweat and put it up…
  • If I really wanted to cut out deli meat (I don't eat much of it anyway) I'd just buy a turkey breast, roast it up, portion it and freeze it to use as needed. I do that with chicken breasts and it makes life easier.
  • Good for you! Even logging the 'bad' days gives you accountability and helps you see changes. :)
  • I pre-log so I only put on my plate what I'm planning to eat. I did try something a few years back about leaving a bite on the plate but it seemed like a waste when I could just make the correct portion size in the first place and eat all of it. One thing I DO try to stick by is that I don't eat it if I'm not enjoying it.…
  • Also, agreed with pp- weigh everything! Seriously makes such a difference.
  • Hi Ashley :) I added you as a friend. I stay around 1200 cals and I do eat back about 30-50% of my exercise calories, so it is a bit higher some days. My goal weight is 125 atm. If you do p90x, it's okay to add back a few cals- that's how mpf is set up. Make sure you have a few 'go-to' meals that taste good and fill you…
  • I eat a lot of eggs, probably around 2-3 per day on a normal day, not including what I use to cook with. For breakfast, I love english muffins with a bit of butter, an egg and either a slice of ham or turkey bacon. Sometimes I'll do greek yogurt with add ins or oatmeal with add ins- usually fruit and nuts for a salty/sweet…
  • I'll add a little nutella to my oatmeal or malt-o-meal or I'll get some handmade, expensive/amazing chocolate from this shop I love. It's pricey so that makes me want to make it last but really, a half a piece (18 grams) satisfies me. It's angel mint chocolate, very flavorful.
  • Any workout. Once you get started, you'll feel better. It helps with cramps and bloating and your mood. Maybe do something active (running, weights, whatever you usually do) and then follow with some yoga to stretch out and relax a little. I find that the harder the workout, the better I feel.
  • Mmm I'm crazy about fajitas- grilled chicken, sauteed peppers and onions on a small sized tortilla with plain Greek yogurt and salsa. I'm probably going to eat it 4-5 times this week alone. Sometimes I'll do an egg instead of the chicken. So good.
  • Hi, I don't know how much my advice will help you, but I do want to say that it gets better. I was/am a huge binger, often cycling back and forth between salty and sweet for hundreds of calories or rummaging in the cupboards for ANYTHING remotely interesting even if I was almost sick because I ate too much :/ Now I rarely…
  • I'm in... my feed has been super quiet. Everyone must be too busy with all the pumpkin spice yummies this fall :s
  • tldr Jumping on the food scale bandwagon, I measured vs weighed a cup of black grapes and the measuring cup was nearly double the cals it was supposed to be for a serving size vs the weighed.
  • I don't like them. I used to eat them at work because they were easy and we didn't have a kitchen but I would always add a bag of frozen (steamed) broccoli or veggies to it because it never filled me up.
  • When I had shorter hair, I would always do double french braids for races to make sure everything stayed put for the long haul :)
  • Try crockpot meals that will be ready when you come home from work and eat before you leave. To me that seems early to eat, but it's better than nothing. Have a few 'meal plans' in mind if you need to do a fast food or restaurant meal one night a week. I know what I order at at leat 3-5 places just in case. Agree with…
  • Love it! Good for you- you put in the hard work and you're getting results ^_^
  • I prelog too. I like seeing the numbers and knowing that it's planned out but still flexible if something happens (like someone eats my lunch again -_-) Anyone can feel free to add me- I'm definitely looking for more active friends :)
  • 5'6" HW- 164 (I think... I didn't use a scale often) CW- 145 GW- 125 Lbs to go- 20 Wow... that's a bit depressing to look at :/ Anyone active on mpf who needs a friend, add me :)
  • I don't log cooking or cleaning. The only time I've logged 'cleaning' is when we were moving and I was hauling boxes, scrubbing everything, etc. Even then I only logged about half the time, if that.
  • Good for you for logging it :) I make room in my log every day for something sweet. It might be a big cal thing (like that boston cream pie I made the other day) or a small cal thing (a little vanilla pudding with whipped cream or a Tootsie Pop). Fudgesicles are good too. Unlike an earlier poster, I don't buy the family…
  • Protein is a hard one for me too since I'd prefer to eat veggies over meat (just a personal preference). I've been adding a lot of eggs (mostly whole) into my diet as well as beans and I'm getting into plain Greek yogurt. I use Greek yogurt on bean/chicken/veggie wraps instead of sour cream or I'll top it with whatever…
  • Something with a slow heat that sneaks up on you... like mango salsa
  • I did a search for this because I was going to post the same question! I'm planning to pack a cooler with: sandwiches, fruit/veggie finger food, and tons of water (I don't like soda so that's a plus!) I love the popcorn idea- air popped is way better than those white cheddar bags you get at the gas station, right???…
  • I think as long as you take them, that's all that matters. When I take 'big pills' or ones with lots of iron, I have to do it at night because I get sick to my stomach. So I get the gummies now and that's a nice change :)
  • My diary is always open and I log daily. :)
  • That sucks :( I'm glad you know how hard you've worked and that's all that matters. Besides, kids aren't usually great at thinking before they speak, it's a trial and error thing lol. Keep it up, hun!
  • I'm still logging but since we're mid-move, we're going to a friend's place for Thanksgiving which will help me because there won't be leftovers to take home AND I probably won't pig out with limited amounts of food for a larger group. If it was just my fam at home, then there's always too much food in easy access. Plus,…
