Being able to wear a regular bathing suit with my sisters in Mexico in October...they might be all in the bikini, but I want to rock my one piece.

That is AWESOME!! You go girl! I started at 180 and am down to about 153. I did this all after turning 40. Primarily I changed my eating habits at work, learning a bit more about portion control with MFP....and logging. I have months were I slip, but I have maintained and am proud to say I wear a smaller size now, than I…

Wow! You look great! I think folks are missing the bus on not saying anything. I've lost about 30# over the course of the year...it took almost 4months after my wt was lost for my co workers to say anything. I always wear a lab coat and it covered my results. Came in my civvies....and they were like "WOW!" Something will…

Hey guys, 1). Living up to my goal of 40 and fabulous! 2). Lost 2 pant sizes and now always need a belt 3). Maintaining an exercise plan that works with my life. 4) Have kept my promise to myself to change my work eating habits. I believe that this was my biggest hurdle and I have maintained this since April. Thanks for…

I know! Recently....trying on jeans at the store....only to realize I had to go down a size and they weren't stretch. NICE!

I like the Almased Energy shake. 27g of Protien and I mix it with unsweetened coconut milk or water. (I like to add pumpkin pie spice too) I like that I don't mix until ready to drink and it blends pretty well with just a hand shaker. I am down 24+ lbs since April and 12# since joining MFP.

I too weigh everyday...but mostly to make sure I am not slipping back (or up the scale). It reminds me to keep moving, watch my diet....it is easier to lose 1-2lbs vs the 25lbs I have been working on. Keeping that in mind, keeps me going to the scale (naked, empty bladder) every morning.

Great job!

This thread has been helpful. I am one of those that try not to eat about 2-3 hours prior to going to bed, even if it is a 7-8am bedtime. I try to make sure that my protien shake is taken between 1-3am. Bad news is that crazy hours and patient loads I don't really get a 30min lunch break, but good news is that I can…

I work a rotating schedule in the ED. So, that means going from nights to days to middle shift. Temptation is everywhere my friend. Hard to sit for a good meal while at work. What I have taken to is packing a protein shake mix that I scarf down when I remember....I try to mix it with unsweetened coconut milk and add a dash…

I started the last week in april 2013. Although I started using MFP later....total weight loss is 21lbs. I started with ALMASED energy shakes. I did a 3 day shake and veggie juice only, then 2 shakes a day for a week, now I do one shake a day to supplement a meal....when I am at work (so that meal changes) At home, I am…

I still have my glass of wine on the weekends....but I log it in. Makes me think carefully before I do anymore junk food. One of my tricks recently is to have sparkling water with dinner instead of wine. Feels a little more decadent and no calories added. Also doesn't break down my inhibitions on snacks. So Pelligrino my…

I am down 8/ total of 18 since starting....and am now comfortable in the size 12's that probably should have been a 14. Just happy not to HAVE to buy new clothes, but able to wear what I have and not feel like I have to suck it in.

Awesome! Good for you.

Hi there! I am 5'9" and currently am at 164. I started to worry when I hit 180. My goal weight is 155-157lbs to start. Getting closer. I was hitting size 14 regularly....now I am back into comfortable 12's and hoping to claim size 10 again. Add me if you would like.

That is inspiring! You've done wonderfully and the health benefits you've achieved are truly remarkable!

This is an interesting forum.....I too am aiming for a number....one that is realistic for me. After that, I think how I look. But I want to keep an eye on that scale and not let it get too far ahead of what I feel comfortable with....Life happens and I want to be able to be flexible with my diet and exercise routines at…

I use Almased synergy protien powder/shake. It does have milk protein in it though, so not vegan. I actually like that I can add pumpkin pie spice too it and it tastes great.

What an inspiration! I love your pragmatic optimism. Keep it up.
