I think people hate carbs if they want to jump on the bandwagon of eliminating them from your diet, which to me is insane. I tried that "fad" diet one time, and the first time I wanted some pasta again - I gained back a good amount of what I took off. Now I eat whatever the heck I want, but in moderation - and I'm still…

I stop eating at 8pm and only drink water after that. :) Edit: This is mainly because late at night I only want junk food, so I eat nothing at all.

It can take a long time for people that see you every day to notice that you've lost weight. I'm almost 35lbs down right now, and my husband JUST told me yesterday that my arms and face looked much thinner. The mirror can lie to you, don't trust it. Trust how you feel - and trust in yourself!

I've been told by numerous people that allowing yourself a "cheat" day once in a while is great for your metabolism. I've been on a very strict deficit for the last three months, and one day I allowed myself 2,000 calories instead of 1,200. I mostly had to, because I went to a birthday party where there was absolutely…

Wow everyone, thank you so much for the responses. It feels good (in a bittersweet way) to know that I'm not alone! I've had a few people ask me what I'm doing to exercise, because by now I should see a change in my clothes. To be honest, I haven't done much exercising the last couple of weeks. I've mainly just been…

I've lost almost 30 lbs eating everything I normally eat in moderation. The only changes I have made are drinking water and nothing else (no coffee, diet drinks, etc) and lots of it! I also have changed ingredients in my normal dishes I make. I use healthier pasta sauce, noodles, etc. However I've had Taco Bell several…

L M F A O. Hoo-hoo! That's the best laugh I've had in a while. Are you kidding me? Kate Upton is not "plus size". If you consider a model that's a size 0-1 to be "perfect" or the "right weight" then you're absolutely insane. Those girls don't define what real women look like, they define what women that are treated like…

I count it as exercise if I break a sweat, yes. Normally after I do my rounds of cleaning / scrubbing both bathrooms, the kitchen floor and counters, and vacuuming I'm breaking a nice sweat and my heart rate is up. I do the same when I exercise, so now I count it as "vigorous" cleaning. If I'm just dusting, doing laundry…

"Doesn't matter how long you've been married - you still have to treat your spouse as you want to be treated. he is my hubby, not my child." I love how you said that! :) Also, my husband is a huge eater. He's been very athletic all his life, and I swear his metabolism is through the roof. EVERY night he eats pizza or ice…

Good for you! Thank you for sharing your story, it was a very emotional read. I wish you absolutely nothing but the best in life. :)

I worked at Sprint handling business line calls, and my manager pulled her chair up behind me to listen one day when I was on a call with a customer that had been, well, royally screwed over and I was trying to solve the issue. She sat behind me and started chanting "Hurry up, get off that call. Get off. Hang up." The…

I have a friend that is an Advocare seller and she's been downright hounding me about ordering their 24-day cleanse or whatever. $190.00 for a ONE month supply? Are you kidding me? No thank you. However, I do know several people that use the Spark and that's the only thing they purchase. They all use it in the morning for…

I am 26lbs down and was a very tight 16, and now a loose 16. I still can't fit into a size 14 yet. I'm hoping by 35lbs I can go down a size. :)

I have the garden salad's from Chic'Fil'A probably once a week on Thursdays. Kids eat free so my husband and I take them there. I don't really consider a salad "fast food" though. I had two taco's from Taco Bell two weeks ago, but I worked them into my calories for the day and still stayed under so it didn't matter. I…

It took 22lbs before a friend of mine said that I looked a lot thinner in the face and upper arms. My husband took about the same amount of time / weight loss before he noticed one morning when I got out of the shower. It takes a while! I'm now 25lbs down and STILL not down a pant size yet. :x

I bought a box of the chocolate peanut butter pop tarts last week, and they were SO damn good. I eat one in the morning (since they are 200 calories per) and drink lots of water. I've still lost 3lbs over the last two weeks, so don't hate on Pop Tarts. :P

I just laughed so hard I can't breathe.

That look on your face!

First of all, if you want chocolate once in a while - eat it. Don't completely kill off everything that you love to eat. I am a choc-o-holic, and trying to cut it out of my diet is almost like cutting one of my limbs off. :) For me, I bought some of the Skinny Cow products. They are MUCH lower in calories / sugar than the…

I'm addicted to frozen coffee drinks, and I hate(!) fake sweetener in drinks.

First of all, I can't stand what a lot of these replies are saying. No, a size 10 is NOT fat. Different people fit different sizes depending on their height, their body type, etc. Some girls are skinny but have wide hips so they need a larger pant size, etc. Don't focus on what size you are wearing, focus on how you look…

Are people hating on 20 year olds with kids? *scowl* I'm 26, turning 27 in July and I have a two year old. :)

A binge to me is eating something that I completely took out of my diet plan, and not caring. I did that before, and because I allowed myself that one huge dinner at Longhorns, or that one appetizer that I ate most of at Applebee's, I would gain weight and lose track and go into a slump. I'm doing my best to not binge on…

Thanks everyone for the replies. :)

My husband and two kids love to eat all the things I can't, and that's fine.....to an extent. :P My husband loves to bring snacks to bed. Popcorn, ice cream, a cupcake...etc. He's always been athletic though and is on his feet all day so he never seems to gain a pound. However, I've made him start eating his late night…
