  • I agree. Also vegetables can be pretty filling and still not give you a lot of calories. Try adding some healthy fats and oils to your cooking like coconut oil. There are other oils but they can be pretty pricey if you're on a budget. Another thing. I have been a member of Overeaters Anonymous for several years and what I…
  • I occasionally use Pure Protein bars. Although the numbers for Quest looks better. I think a good rule of thumb is to multiply the protein grams by 10 and if the calories are close to that then there shouldn't be too much filler or sugar.
  • No processed food could be tough. I keep a few Atkins frozen dinners in the freezeer as a quick lunch.
  • Sounds like you're doing all of the right things once you get the logging down. I have tried several food logging sites and so far I think MFP has the most extensive database although Livestrong has a great database of nutritional articles.
  • Rode my bike (bicycle) into work today.
  • I'm pretty new to MFP I figure the 30 means all 30 days but do what all 30?
  • Sorry, BMR of 2200 calories per day
  • I have 1270 net calories as a daily goal because that's what MFP calculated based upon my input of a desire to lose 2lbs per week. It calculated my BMR at 2700 calories per day minus a 1000 calorie deficit so a 1270 net calorie per day goal.
  • I haven't bought one yet but after reading all of these posts I'm definitely going to start. the local farmers market has a place where you can get grass fed and pick up deliveries on a monthly basis and you can pick and choose which parts you want. They'll even throw in a chicken or two.
  • I use a chocolate flavored mix but if I want more I'll add powdered dark dutch chocolate. I also use liquid flavoring from the spice section of the grocery. I've used banana oil, mint, vanilla, and hazelnut. My favorite is the mint. You only need a couple of drops.
  • I watched the "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" video at the suggestion of a co-worker. I'll have to admit it is really tempting. I just can't see myself flushing all of that leftovers down the disposal. I feel that the main benefit of the juice diet is to "reset" your system so to speak. Then eat healthy and sensibly (i.e. no…
  • I'm more Primal Blueprint than Paleo. The biggest sticking point for me would be the beans. In the Primal Blueprint quinoa is a "sometimes" food so it should be okay. If you could get it without the beans it should be okay but you would need to add some acceptable type of protein.
  • I like your way of thinking. That was the whole problem with weight watchers. You could give in to any craving as long as you kept to you point. As someone with an eating disorder this is a disaster. If I give in to a craving for a food that is a trigger for me I will binge regardless of the consequences and then hate…
