  • Go look at some pictures of you before you lost the 20 pounds so that you have something to compare the new pictures to. I have lost 24 pounds and I can't tell when I look at myself so I know how you feel. It's frustrating. But you have to keep going. You have to remember that you will look much better and feel much better…
  • What about spray butter or non fat cream cheese or low sugar jelly? I've never had an english muffin so I'm not sure what they taste like!
  • First of all thank you Effervescent17 for making the banners! They are super cute! I sent yanicka a message yesterday since I couldn't get to my computer, but I thought I'd go ahead and post my goals here today! CW is 186 GW is 176 at the end of this challenge I want to try to work super hard to get to 170 by 9-13. That's…
  • Okay. Thanks for the advice!
  • I must not do the Wii Zumba right, I never get sweaty or out of breath. Geez I'm gonna have to put more effort into it the next time I do it. lol
  • I pretty much stick to my net calories of 1200 5-6 days a week and then give myself an off day when I can go out to eat and splurge. Works for me. I tend to lose 1-3 pounds per week.
  • Your final weight kind of depends on your body size. If your small framed you can probably do 115 okay, but if not then don't stress about it as long as your toned and healthy! As for the Sept. 13 goal, that is my birthday and I hope to have 16 pounds gone by then. I know that is asking for a lot, but I'm doing an August…
  • MFP adds all that in for you. It's under settings or tools or something. I just looked at mine the other day when I was changing some of my goals!
  • I did the same workout the other day. I wasn't sure how to log it either. I logged it as aerobics high intensity. I think its pretty accurate as far as calories burned goes. Some of the other people in the class had hrm and my calories burned on MFP was close to what they burned.
  • I like "No Mo Junk in da Trunk"
  • I would like in! I could really use a team to hold me accountable!
  • you wore parachute pants had a zipper on the bottom of your jeans Man I miss the toys in the cereal boxes! Your car had a huge trunk on it!
  • Lane Bryant has them I think. Check their website! I was a 38DDD when I was at my highest weight (210#) and I shopped at Lane Bryant for bras. I'm not sure what I am now, I can't afford to go shopping so I'm kind of stuck. My goal is to be at 170# on Sept. 13 and I think I'll go bra shopping for my birthday if I make that…
  • For those of you that do P90X, how do you log the exercise into MFP? I go to beachbody classes twice a week and we did P90X shoulders/arms last night and I wasn't sure how to log it. So I just logged it as weight lifting since that is basically all we did.
  • I'm glad you asked this question as I sit here with a bottle of gatorade after an hour long bike ride! Now I know to go look for propel zero or coconut water! Thanks!
  • Add me Add me! I'm almost 31. I am a mom of 4 kids. I have a bf who isn't all that supporting of my life style change even though I guess he tries. He does watch the kids for me so I can go work out. But then he picks awful places for us to go out to eat! I am a stay home mom and that makes it hard when I'm at home all the…
  • Knowing you need to ask for encouragement is a start! You realize that life is a struggle and eating healthy and exercising are part of that struggle! You can do it. Take it one day at a time or one hour at a time if you need to but just remember that in the end you will be happy you stuck with it! Good luck.
  • I hate that "if every day were like today". I wish MFP would just take it off. It has said for the longest time that in 5 weeks I'll be at least 10 pounds lighter than I am. And I'm never 10 pounds lighter in 5 weeks! But I am lighter every week so I guess I'll just ignore it!
  • You should stop eating about 4 hours before you go to bed!
  • I don't think your goal is unreasonable at all. I am almost 5*8 and my goal weight is 140-145. I completely understand people thinking 20 more pounds is a lot. I think some people just don't understand what is going on. You should do whatever you want to make yourself happy. Not everybody has to like it....maybe they are…
  • I read the other day, on yahoo I think, that you should eat between 10% and 35% of your body weight in protein. So I should eat between 19 and 66 grams of protein daily. I'm usually in the upper end of that. MFP changes my protein goals daily depending on how much exercise I get that day.
  • Bless your heart!
  • My scale says different things too. I know they say you should weight first thing in the morning and go with that weight, but I weigh less about 10 a.m. , so I usually weigh at that time and go with that weight. Your weight can fluctuate a couple of pounds at different times during the day (test that to see!) If I were you…
  • Not sure if you can make yourself work out at home or not, but I love love love the Turbo Jam workouts! They burn a lot of calories too!
  • Make sure that when you are exercising that you are holding your stomach in. Make sure to keep your abs contracted while sucking in. That's the only thing I can think of is that you haven''t been doing that and your muscles have grown outward instead of inward....if that makes sense.
  • Hmmm....Mine always says I'm going to lose. But it has said for about the last two months that I will weigh 178 in 5 weeks! It says that almost every single day. Well, it's been more than 5 weeks since the first time it said it and I'm still not to 178 unfortunately. So it confuses me!
  • Just wondering if you have tracked your measurements since you started? Maybe you are losing inches even though you aren't losing pounds.
  • Hi there! Glad you are realizing while you are young that your health is important! If you have an Iphone there is a free app for MFP. That is what I mainly use. You can look at the list of exercises and put in the number of minutes you think you could do and it will tell you how many calories it will burn! So just go…
  • I used my Wii fit today! I love it because there are so many different things you can do. There are aerobic exercises, pilates type stuff, balance, strength training, and then fun wii fit stuff. It is also a scale. It wasn't accurate with my old scale that I had for years, but I bought a new scale and it is right on with…
