Name: Taylor Age: 26 Height" 5'5" Your current weight: 131 Your goal weight: ~120 Reasons why you want to lose weight: I let myself get a little too comfortable (got up to 152+) and was terribly unhappy with my body and had some health problems, and I don't want to let it happen again! I'd love to be able to wear all the…

My work dress code is pretty casual, so I don't normally change right when I get home since I'm already wearing jeans and a fairly comfy top. Sometimes it's a pajama pants kind of day, though. And of course I change before I work out. Who wants to exercise in jeans!

Obesogen? Is this real?
-
Huh. So, if it says a serving is 112g, that means dry? Guess I've been overestimating my portion sizes! Better over than under, though.
-
Or save $100 and get a PS4. ;) Plus whatever the normal trade-in/sale value of the old system is, haha.
-
Mmm, slurry. Who wants to hit up 7/11 for some Slurpees?
-
Yeah I got mine in... I wanna say 2008? So I lost the booklet looong ago. I have no idea what the codes are for anything, haha. I don't really need it since I'm using MFP! The one you linked looks perfect, too! That's really all you need.

There are lots of good ones out there for $15-20. All you need are tare and g/oz toggle buttons. I don't think a bowl is necessary, you can just use your own! I have one from Kitrics that has held up for over 6 years, through multiple (like 6) moves. I love it! Mine is this model:…

40 minutes of Dance Dance Revolution! DDR Max 2 specifically.

I played it a ton when I got into the closed beta, but I haven't touched it in a while. It's really fun, and I love card games, I just haven't been making time for it lately. I probably won't get too into it for fear that I'll spend all my money on card packs, haha. Docjoe, it's in open beta now, you should be able to get…

I still think 500-600 is a pretty low amount to net, and to act like it isn't is a little irresponsible. Not to mention, apparently neither of you actually eat like that on a daily basis. In the original comment I replied to, it was sort of implied that she did. I just wanted to point out for any others who might read this…

I see a difference! You definitely look slimmer on the right. It might not be a huge difference like some people, but you weren't big to begin with. I think it's most noticeable in your thighs and jawline.

Counting calories definitely keeps my math skills sharp!! Haha
-
It depends on why it weighed more, really. You said you made them with water, so it could just be that you put more water in it. If we went ahead and assumed it really did have an extra 4 grams of mix in it, that would be 1.1 servings, which would be about 188 calories. That probably means some of the other muffins were…

Welcome to the group! Good luck meeting your goals! :)
-
Well that'd still be a deficit of 300 a day, which might not get you a pound a week but it's still reasonable. Like I said, everyone is free to do what they want.
-
I'm not an expert or anything, but everything I've ever read, heard, or experienced has told me that it isn't healthy to eat that little. Obviously you can do what you want, and if you feel fine then that's fine. Just something to think about. At 5'3", even if you only weighed 80 lbs, your BMR would be over 1100 calories.…

If she met her husband at the gym, then stopped being active, it's more like she lied to him about the kind of lifestyle she was leading. Then refusing to compromise on top of that, it's no wonder they had problems. As they say, never stop dating your spouse! You should always be trying to impress them, but at the same…

Is there a specific reason you can't eat Chinese food? An allergy or something? If not, why not just get some Chinese food. Control your portions, save the leftovers, and just enjoy it! There's no reason to make yourself miserable to lose weight. You'll only end up sabotaging yourself.
-
Oh man, zebra cakes!! I LOVE those things!!! I used to eat them constantly as a kid. It's been ages since I had one.
-
That's a pretty low net! You should probably be eating back your exercise calories so that you net 1200. Depending on your height even that might be on the low side. 600 is definitely super low.

I'm currently wearing a 32G (though I think I might be closer to a 30E now) and I wear sports bras from Old Navy, though they kinda have the problems you mentioned. The "band" is definitely looser than the ideal, but it works pretty decently. I don't really do a lot of running, but it does the job when I'm doing jumping…

I had the same issue with carbs. I've tried to really focus on getting more protein, and fiber in the carbs I do eat. I'm not a huge fan of meat so it's a challenge! Though even cutting my carbs to about 75% of what they were I feel so, so much better. Exercising twice a week means your calorie goal could be even higher!…

Welcome! Great work so far!! I find it difficult to get enough protein, too, but on days when I manage it I feel so much more satisfied! It's just difficult to come up with snacks and meals that are heavier on protein sometimes. Feels like everything is all about the bread, rice, and pasta!

You might already know this, but that's very, very low! Especially with exercise on top of it. That might be why it's so difficult to lose those last few pounds, your body doesn't want to let them go! MFP's calculator can get kinda inaccurate for shorter or lighter people. You might want to try plugging your numbers into…

80 absolutely!! I hate, hate, hate the cold! I don't even want to step outside when it's 30. I'd much rather sweat than freeze!

It's where you alternate high and low calorie days. I think you're only allowed 500 calories on 2 (non-consecutive) days of the week, then eat a normal amount (1500-ish?) the other days. I don't know too much about it, just read about it briefly. It didn't sound sustainable to me! I'd rather keep the same deficit every day.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Riviera Paradise!

That's a pretty aggressive goal! It might be hard to pull off as fast as you want. Remember that you didn't put on the weight overnight, so it's not gonna come off overnight! Slower is better, as you're more likely to keep it off that way. You can't crash diet forever, so when you reach your goal and go back to the way you…

The machines don't always estimate correctly. It's hard to get a good estimate, honestly. People say that heart rate monitors are good, but they're expensive. MyFitnessPal says 40 minutes on the elliptical is closer to 400 calories burned but it depends on your intensity, weight, all that stuff. It's best to exercise at…
