Are you weighing everything on a scale or are you only measuring? Could very well be eating over 1200 calories if you aren't weighing everything. There is nothing wrong with intuitive eating if that is what works for you.

I ate like a pig and didn't exercise at all.
-
My lunch today is about 725 calories. Good luck with that.

Are we talking kids or grown adults? If they are kids, why are you giving them options? A healthy kid will not starve themselves. Aside from a few things (super spicy foods and sushi) our kids are expected to eat what we make. If they are adults, they can fend for themselves, can't they?

Tofu. It belongs in the garbage.

A few that I've used: "I just ate - can't think about another bite right now. Looks delicious though, thank you!" "My stomach has been weird today, so I will pass this time. Thank you though!" "Looks great, but no thank you." I work with someone who recently admitted (out loud) that she does not always wash her hands after…

I am a beer and meat snob - but understand others have their own tastes and preferences. That's the beauty of life, we're all very different in what we like. I can't drink Bud Light. I get sick the next day no matter if I have 1 or 12. My steak has to be rare to medium rare or I won't eat it. I'm a butter snob. When I…

I have been craving sushi like no other. Tuna rolls, yellowtail rolls, and salmon rolls. Mmmmm.....

I'm sorry, I didn't realize this was a "criticize what the person above you cooked" thread. *I* liked what I made and couldn't care less what some wanna be Gordon Ramsey thinks. Have an AWESOME evening!!!

Except add flavor and keep the chicken from being dry AF.

Last night was buffalo chicken wraps. First I brined two chicken breasts (Large saucepan of water, bring to a boil, add quarter cup of salt, garlic, basil, oregano, and pepper), let the brine cool and then let the chicken soak in the brine for a few hours. I threw the chicken in the crockpot along with a cup of buffalo…

My ex boyfriend was into this. The bigger the better. Probably the reason I put on over 70 pounds in the course of our relationship.

My sister struggles with fertility. They are looking at Foster to Adopt. She's obese but would make a better mom than most. That's horse hocky.

To be honest, it may have helped me NOT get up to 320 pounds. Everyone around me said I was "just fine" and "big boned". Except I was on a path to an early grave. Finally, when someone gave me real talk, it struck a nerve and I changed.

Full Fat (4% or so) cottage cheese is what we eat. I know you said no brands, but I love Daisy and the fact that it's 3 ingredients (Milk, cream, salt).
-
The only one that I use: I really want this, so I'll make it work within my calories for the day.

Your trainer would hate to work with my husband then. He can't point his toes perfectly straight. He naturally stands with his toes in a 30-45 degree angle. Your trainer is incorrect. ^This. Heels down. I've always been told that you should be able to wiggle your toes slightly when you're doing a squat.

Don't you hate it when you had a nice hour run on the treadmill but look down and it's been 30 seconds? :D :D

Thoughts on a chest strap? I'm not fancy enough yet for a wrist based HR monitor (LOVE my Garmin 920XT) but I'm sure to wear my chest strap when doing cardio. Anything else doesn't get tracked; I just consider it daily movement.

I waffle back and forth on this one. I am someone that was told to "just get the surgery because you'll never be successful at weight loss on your own". Seven years later, I've maintained a 170 pound loss. It's anecdotal at best, but the people in my life that have had surgery either 1). have had serious complications or…

Usually you want to train like you're going to race. I have 14 miles today. My go-to 1-2 hours before is peanut butter toast. How much fluids are you taking on these long runs? Have you started taking gels or other fuel while running? How fast are you running and have you tried slowing down to see if that helps?
-
I so know what I'm doing the next time they are added to class. ;)
-
Jump back into plank, do a push up, back up, jump up while reaching for the sky and repeat.
-
Long run training days I can log all day long; and I do. But race days can get a little messy. Maybe I'll do what I've been doing and not worry too much about race days.
-
Agreed, my last post wasn't totally clear. Long run/ride days, I'll log the fuels before hand. Race days can be a little chaotic.
-
Thanks! Generally the long distance days I don't log and call it a wash since I'm burning 1000+ calories. But thinking I should try to log the best I can. Runs I generally carry my own gels since my stomach gets iffy at times if I do anything out of the norm. For a full I'll sometimes have a banana or orange if they are…

I've had Qalo and I recently bought a cheap set from Walmart. I cannot tell the difference. The Walmart set was less than $5 and they had a ton of different colors.

I've done over a dozen half marathons. And each one, I've walked part of it. Mostly the aid stations because I can't run and drink at the same time. It's still 13.1 miles no matter how you slice it. There are plenty of cookie cutter training plans out there. Some to help you be competitive, others to barely get you across…
-
You didn't. Unless you somehow ate an extra 14,000 calories. I can vary up to 7 pounds day to day. Are you being 100% in your tracking and logging? Weighing everything?

Fried cheese curds. Well, anything cheese related. The city I live in hosts "Cheese Days" every two years. A whole weekend devoted to beer, cheese, and music. Our city population grows from 12K to over 100K for the weekend.
