I avoid the scale in favor of measuring tape. The scale makes me feel defeated. Measuring tape has been an easier method, emotionally. :laugh:

Win! Mine was a combination of fortuitous events. I graduated college, got out of a 4-year relationship and saw horrible pictures of how large I actually was. I had all sort of new free time without the dude or homework, so it was easy to replace them with gym time.

Love this thread. I do so many of these! Biggest one is the year-round jacket to hide my arms and stomach. I even buy winter coats big enough to wear a jacket under so if I take my coat off, I can still hide my love handles under the jacket. :embarassed:

A lot of the meals at Pei Wei end up being about 550 calories, which isn't too shabby for eating out. I like the Sweet & Sour Chicken or Teriyaki Chicken with brown rice. Also, if you have Paradise Bakery, half of a Turkey Chipotle wrap is only 280. Pair it with soup or a side salad = yummy and not too many calories.

I've heard a lot of people say they have to eat more to lose weight. Maybe tune your MFP settings down to lose 1lb or 1/2 lb per week and try to stay on those calorie goals. Hope that helps. Plateaus are a total bummer.

I am a bored eater. I have learned to bargain with myself. For example if I want to eat and it's not a meal time I will make myself drink a whole glass of water first. Or I will chew a stick of gum for 30-60 minutes. And if I'm still really wanting to eat, then I'll go ahead and eat. This might help out a bit? Also, you…

I don't see a problem with it. A lot of people zig zag each day and try to keep an overall weekly goal. I've heard good things about it.
