  • I don't have kids or anything, but between working a desk job full time and going to school full time, I gained a lot of weight back that I had lost. So now I am trying to take it off, just a little at a time. I find it easier to set small goals, instead of tackling a huge one. That helped me lose ten lbs in two weeks! I…
  • I fell on the ice while trying to get in my car, caught my leg on the bottom of the car (it wouldn't stop bleeding! I went through three bandaids at work!) and cracked my knee on the ice. Of course I was wearing shorts...I was going to go to the gym. But my knee made this nice crack/pop sound when I hit it. I must have hit…
  • I hear you. I don't like to get out of my pjs half the time. Maybe just throw on a little something right before he gets home, then you won't have to go through the day dressed up. Or just on weekends, when you spend more time together during the day.
  • Banana Nut Crunch and skim milk. Yummy.
  • Man. I LOVE going out for Mexican...and my favorite were the Beer Battered Fish Tacos at On the Border. Not only was it voted one of the "Top 20 Worst Dishes" in Men's Health Magazine, but they said, quote, "Worst fish entrée: On the Border Dos XX Fish Tacos with Rice and Beans -- 2,100 calories 130 g fat, 169 g carbs…
  • :brokenheart: So my aunt died this weekend, and I have been using it as an excuse not to diet or go to the gym. It wasn't unexpected, she has batteled with cancer for a long time, but it is still really sad for us. How can I stay motivated when all I want to do is sit around and shove myself full of comfort foods? It is…
  • We are trying to keep lunches healthy for the kids by packing them. But my little brother WILL NOT eat a sandwich. He eats about everything, he's not too picky, but he won't do a sandwich. Any ideas for a kids lunch?
  • That is SO messed up. What an excuse. That is way lame. I used to work at the Olive Garden...and I remember when this women was ROYAL screwed over by the waitress she had. Beyond rude. I was a hostess, so they complained to me. I got the manager, and what did her offer her? A GIFT CARD. WHY would someone want to…
  • Now that I started counting my calories, I have been WAY under what I should be at. Just today, I had 900 calories left over! :noway: I mean, I had cereal for breakfast, spag. sauce on spinach for lunch (don't laugh, it is SO good,) and for dinner I had chicken soup. Two coke zeros, and a granola bar for a snack this…
  • :blushing: You did better then I did. Come friday, I ate pizza and donuts, just cause they were there, haha. But as long as you stay on track after that, you should be pretty well off! I hope you have a good time on your cruise!
  • :embarassed: Totally forgot about the cookbooks! More or less something kid friendly, pasta and such.
  • Hi There! I am looking for some low "points" meals that my mom and I can cook. We are doing the whole family diet thing, and ages range from 11 to 44. So somethine either low calorie or low point, but something the kids can eat!
  • Have her look for this topic, and post a reply on it. Then when you go back and look at it, just click on her name, and add as a friend! (That's what I have been doing, haha.)
  • Wanderlust is right. When your body hits a stand still, it is usually because it is used to what you are doing. So your metabolism doesn't work as hard. The best thinf to do is actually up your calorie intake for a week or so, then get back into your normal habits. It will help kick start your weight loss again!
  • My brother was looking to get involved with this site, but he is 16, going on 45, and convinced that this site is "JUST for girls." Guys and Gals, please prove it's not for me?
  • Yah Nicole! I LOVE thoes 100 calorie packs. I am a HUGE snacker. The oreo ones are the best. Helps when you crave sweets and such. Resses has one too that is terrific. Man I love thoes!
  • This is my...third? day on this site, and I have been on here for HOURS everyday while I am at work! Hey, I work at a beer and wine distributor...so we are wicked slow in the winter!
  • I HEAR YOU! I live in Maine as well...one of the local news stations (13) had a survey about whether people were tired of the snow or not, and I was SHOCKED at the amout of people who said, "bring on more snow!" Sigh, I love hiking in NH in the summer, and camping, and swimming...MAN I can't wait!
  • Aw man, I have the same problem. With me, I ALWAYS want a coke. I was never much of a soda drinker, but I love it! It was the hardest thing for me to give up I just have to tell myself no. Your body is used to the sugar, and craves it, I assume. Same thing happened when I gave up coffee. Keep up the good work!!…
  • :grumble: I am having a hard time with the whole weight loss thing. Not in the "doing" part of things, but the motivation part. I started going to the gym in the mornings, because I get a free membership at my college. I have been coming in to work closer to eight. (Not that it is a problem.) So naturally, the girls I work…

  • Hi there! I am new to this as well, and kind of excited. I love the support it looks like this site has. I am 20 years old, from Maine, and looking to lose some weight for myself and my sisters wedding in November. I kind of have a crush on her boyfriends best man, haha.
