Last night, I felt hungry, but realized I was thirsty instead. I had a big glass of water, which satisfied my thirst, and I no longer felt hungry.

If you go to the cardio exercise, and search for strength training, you can log the amount of time you did strength training for there also and it will tell you how many calories were burned.

I do not use meditation, exactly, but I get some of the benefits it sounds like you are looking for from self hypnosis. For that, there are many recordings you can use. I recommend Erick Brown Hypnosis; he has tons of recordings for sale on iTunes and Google Play and also through his website:…

Welcome, Iris, hope you find the info here useful! There is a lot of good advice around on the forums. Check out some of the pinned topics for some starting advice and ideas. I've found this site to be very useful to me in my weight loss journey, as I know many others have as well. I think one of the most important parts…

Hi Maxie, I do not know for sure why you are not losing weight. There could be several reasons. Remember that the human body is not a calculator and is a dynamic living organism that adjusts and will not always react the same to what you do. First, are you sure you need to lose any more weight? I'd check your body fat…

I am 5'5'' and weight 217. I started at 237. My initial goal weight was 120. However, I went to a weight loss clinic and had a body composition test done. it showed that I had about 110 pounds of lean muscle. Upon seeing this, the doctor recommended that I set my goal weight at 150 instead. So 150 is my new goal. You can…

You may benefit from getting your body composition tested. You have been working hard in your classes and have probably been building up muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. There is a chance you are closer to your goals than you think. I recently got my body composition tested, and found out that my goal of weighing 130…

Pilates does wonderful things to your core. There is a series on Youtube called POP Pilates that I like. Here is a video for beginners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCg_gh_fppI

I second that seeing your doctor about your concerns could be very helpful. There could very well be a medical reason why you are not losing weight. I recently got off of a medication that was causing me to gain weight, and I have to say, it has been like night and day. I used to munch constantly, and now I hardly get…

Exercising is great for dealing with stress. Find something you like and stick with it. This will also help decrease your appetite. I also find meditation or self hypnosis to be very helpful for me when I am dealing with stress. Being outside in nature can be very good for you, then, too.

I did kickboxing types of exercise for a year once. Made some big changes to my body with it. I did it mostly every day, and went skating on the days I didn't. Do you use weighted hand gloves? I know some people use ankle weights, too. Incorporating those sorts of things into your workout could be an easy way to make the…
