You can do it!! I've found when you want something bad enough there's no stopping you! :)

Major gamer here as well, I think playing WoW too much years ago (and not going out to exercise) contributed quite a bit to my state of health. Staying away from MMOs now but still playing other games... Probably going to start Portal/Portal 2 soon (and have Fallout: New Vegas to do as well)! Good to see other gamers here…

I also do the hummus with veg sticks, or a tiny bit of peanut butter... Also make my own salsa, which barely has any calories, and just watch my portion of tortilla chips. ;) And I find if I'm not drinking enough water, I feel hungrier. Hang in there!!

Yep I was a little bummed too at first, mkennedym is right about the lean muscle. I was all excited to finally narrow down what I was burning during moderately intense yoga sessions, and it turned out to not be that much (although I was a bit stronger later at least). Seems like the only time I burn a lot is when I stay in…

I'm curious about this myself. :)

Very inspirational!! Congrats on losing the weight and keeping motivated. It's good to hear what has worked for other people...

I totally feel you there! Personally, being at home so much really hurt me regarding this subject... I would eat out of boredom so often! And I'd do the "mindless" thing especially when I had snacks laying around the house practically in front of me. Keeping track of the calories definitely has started to curb this habit.…

I was curious about the same thing! Pretty broke and can't afford anything really expensive, but sometimes it's hard to estimate the calories I've burned for various cardio activities...

Great info, thank you!!

Beat me to it! I try to eat a lot of beans/lentils and a banana a day, but I'm still low... may just get a multi-vitamin myself. Thanks for the list!

Holy crap you look fantastic!! I am hoping to do the same, just started here though. Thank you for the inspiring story!

Great to hear! I am just beginning my journey on MFP and also hope to lose 50 lbs (to begin with!!). It's so great to hear all of these success stories. Good luck on the doc visit! :)

Wow, you got me in tears here. Thank you for sharing this sobering (and inspiring!) story. So glad you survived the surgery and have a great new attitude. I, too realize I will probably never be what society thinks of as thin, but as long as I can lose enough weight to finally be healthy again, I will be much happier. :)…
