From the left column you are looking good... it is too big to see the right side right now

Ditto... though I am going to try actual running shorts instead of "sport" shorts. You know the nylon feeling ones that sometimes have the underware liner in them. I don't know if that will make a difference but I also have a pair of running shorts that are like spandex that I can wear under shorts for the really hot…

^ I agree with this! That is an average of 4.25 pounds a month. I think that 1 pound a week is very respectable because you will most likely be able to KEEP it off that way

this is fantastic!!! Thanks everyone!

Looks like it was a good/ok think I never inserted the disc into my computer. I just plugged in the device to charge it and it automatically popped up that I could connect to download

 it is a bit confusing at first, but you got it! You want to eat 2400 each day and when you burn over that eat that full amount back. So in your example you would eat all 700 of those exercise calories back the next day. So the first day you start doing this you won't have "exercise" calories. I add them to the next…

My bodybugg tells me that I burn an average of 2250 in a month, so I have my calorie goal set at 2000. I have been doing that since the new year went from 166 to 155. I do gain a pound back each month during ovulation that I have to "re-lose" but I am NOW in the last 10 pounds I want to lose and my weight loss hasn't…

I am VERY similar.... I am never hungry and I am losing weight that I know I will keep off!!!

You should not eat less than 1449 ever from my understanding. This is the amount of calories that you need when in a coma. You aren't in a coma and you need more food than that in since you get up to shower, get dressed, to and from the car/work, housework, and exercise. I would say that 2000 is what you need for your…

I have the bodybugg and I looked at what my average TDEE was for a month. Then I took 15% of that off to leave me at 2000. So I made MFP set at 2000 for calories in. Then to do my exercise calories I add back anything that I burn over the 2000 on the following day. So like yesterday for example, 2250 was my total burn when…

I agree!

I always suggest slowly increasing your calories- go up 100-200 a week until you get there. That makes it not so scary and might help your body adjust without that much of a gain*. Yes you will consume that number because you TDEE is including the exercise. If you use your BMR then you would add exercise calories and eat…
-
To figure out your TDEE use this: Harris Benedict Formula To determine your total daily calorie needs, multiply your BMR by the appropriate activity factor, as follows: •If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2 •If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) :…

I agree with this.... stick with it and remember that you are going the distance not just sprinting!

I was debating between the 210 and the Nike+ ... finally decided on the 210 and haven't looked back! I use a Bodybugg so I don't use the HRM but I have it incase I decide to stop using the bugg

Yes... I am not a trainer but I know that as your muscles work to repair themselves they hold onto water.

My theory is that when you (everyone) wants to lose weight they increase their exercise and decrease their food intake. This leads to the loss but is not maintainable once you change those habits. So you get to your goal weight and stop exercising or eating low calories in (even both) and where does that put you? Back to…

Mine are a little old... might have to try for some updated pics soon

There are plenty of heavier shorties out there but I remember having this feeling too. I am 5'3.5" and started this journey at 214 in October 2010. After hard work and a lot of time I am down to 156... but everyone seems to still be below me!?

I plan on running a long distance every weekend with two runs per week of at least 2 miles but hoping for 3.1

From the mouths of babes!!! Yes they speak the truth and that makes this a freaking awesome NSV!!!

depending on your exercise, runtaskic is great with GPS for pace and distance. That can be used for more than just running too ;)

This would be the rough calculation! I would recommend that you then eat those exercise calories because you have given yourself the deficit for half a pound lose in your calorie goal. If you want to lose more than half a pound, I suggest eating at least you BMR each day and eat some of your exercise calories but leave a…
