After you lift your muscels are repairing themselves as you just basically tore them apart lifting to make them grow stronger. As they repair, they will retain water and are swollen.... This is laymans terms but you get the idea.

How are your clothes fitting? How tired are you compared to before or do you have more energy? How many things can you do now that you couldn't before - winded going up the steps and now you don't even breath hard? Remember that depending on what you are eating and times of months, you could be retaining water or be…

I like Runtastic personally, I found that when comparing to my Garmin for GPS/distance it was more on track than Runkeeper. I have been using it to link directly into here. I might not run/walk with it on, but I enter the data from my Garmin and it syncs with MFP

This is what I think, if it matters  I always thought and keep hearing it "Abs are made in the kitchen" or "you can't out exercise a bad diet". I am not focusing on exercise personally (though re-incorporating it again) but trying my hardest to eat better/wholesome foods. I actually can eat so much more food with…

Set your goals in the S.M.A.R.T method so that you won't fail  I started at 214 on Oct 14, 2010 and I got to 150.8 in June 2012. Stick with it through the hard times and you will get there eventually! ETA: I am 5'3.5" and just turned 31 years old

This is what I suggest. I spent a week at our county fair and I only got deep fried once. That was french fries! I got pulled BBQ pork twice, chinese, and cajun. I got a taco salad and also had a snowcone. I think everyone else is saying that if you look, it is easy to find something that is relatively healthy (as in not…

Here is the chicken salad recipe that I want to make tonight!! http://oxygenmag.com/Nutrition/Articles/Crunchy-Chicken-Salad-Pita.aspx You can also do crockpot mexican chicken in the simpliest form, jar of salsa and chicken breast. Cook on low for 8 hours then shred. I make my own "salsa" and put in a can of black beans,…

I was 214 pounds and 5' 3.5" when I started my journey and I wanted 170 at first... then it went to 160, and now I am aiming for 147 - 150. I am currently staying around 153- 151. and am working on getting it to 147 - 150 to maintain. That still classifies me as "overweight" to BMI but I am going more on my feel and…

This is excellent advice!!! Thanks a bunch!!! I wasn't planning on using the skin after it cooked so I might try that

Quick additional question... Do you need to set the chicken on something so it is not in the water while it cooks? Or do you just sit it in the water? Thanks again!
-
Thanks... there won't be anything in the crockpot other than the chicken and the ingredients listed for seasoning.

If you need a break take a break... If you want to keep logging but log at maintainance level so that you don't geel pressure to be at a certain target. I did that for the fall last year which did slow down my weight loss but also taught me that I can maintain and how to eat at that level. You won't be on a deficit for the…
