  • Awesome!!! Great work!
  • Way to go!! Lots of mornings I have to make myself get up and at it. I finished Day 28 today and haven't missed a day. I will complete the 30 days Friday morning!!! WOOHOOO!!!! Keep getting yourself up to do it and you will be so glad you did!!! Best of luck to you.
  • I also get up around 4:30 or 5:00 am to start my workout. I feel better all day long and I don't have to keep thinking I have to make time to workout. IT'S DONE!!!! It becomes a habit after a while. I still get up earlier on Saturday and Sunday so I can get my workout in before I get started with my day!
  • I have a Polar FT4 and LOVE IT!!! The chest strap is so comfortable I even forget I have it on sometimes. I did a lot of research on HRMs - I had previously bought a cheap watch at Walmart for my HRM and found that it was not accurate at all. I finally invested the money in the Polar and I am soooooo glad I did. Around $90…
  • Awesome post. Thanks for helping to keep me on track. Today is going to be a beautiful Thursday!!!! Thanks so much for the reminder. Today is a new day!!!
  • Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred work out DVD. It has 3 levels and each level consists of warm up 3 minute strength 2 minute cardio and 1 minute abs for 3 circuits and then a cool down. Do Level 1 10 days, Level 2 10 days, and Level 3 10 days. I just started Level 3 and have done it consistently every day. It is a great…
  • Great job!!! Best of luck reaching your ultimate goal!! You've got this!!!
  • Thanks for that. I may have to modify (as I did in Level 2) but I WILL keep at it and complete 10 days!! Thanks for the insight.
  • I am 20 days in and did Level 1 and Level 2 10 days each. I am starting Level 3 tomorrow - previewed it today and it looks HARD!!! However, I will start tomorrow and do 10 days at Level 3. When I complete the 30 days I think I will take a couple days away from it and then alternate Level 1 - 3 to keep changing up my…
  • Awesome!!! Congratulations to you!! Enjoy the swimsuit shopping.
  • Congratulations!!! You surely derseve to scream it. Keep up the great work!!!
  • Great NSV, especially to end the work week. Keep up the awesome work!!!
  • The best way is to get a good HRM (heart rate monitor) with chest strap to monitor your calories burned while exercising. I use a Polar FT4 for all my exercises, including Curves Circuit Training, work out DVD's, treadmill, Zumba classes, etc. I found lots of machines as well as MFP over-estimates calories burned and HRM…
  • Hi. Lady rider too. I have a Harley Super Glide and ride every chance I get. No helmet law in SC but do not leave my yard without my helmet on and always wear jeans (usually not a jacket in the heat though)!!! Excited to see so many other lady riders. Feel free to friend me if you like. Safe riding ladies (and guys too).
  • I have the Polar FT4 and love it. I wear it anytime I am doing any exercise (Zumba class, workout DVD's, Curves Smart etc). I found the MFP and the watch only HRMs way overestimated the calories I was burning. With the Polar, 60 minute zumba I generally burn around 500-550 calories. I know this sounds low, but since I…
  • Wonderful NSV!!! Congratulations on politely declining the Chinese!!! You've got this girl!!!
  • I use a HRM for my calories and added 30 Day Shred in my exercises.
  • I agree. The Polar FT4 is a great HRM. I tried the cheaper watch only and it was not accurate at all (way overestimated). I wear mine only while actually exercising and I love it!!!
  • You are awesome!! Thanks for the great post!!!
  • I am on Level 2, day 4 of the JM Shred and it is a great workout. Level 1 was sore the first 4 to 5 days but kept at it and Level 2 and have no soreness, but it is hard!!! I hate planks. I also have Zumba for the wii and I like it too. Ordered the regular zumba dvd's and toning sticks but haven't really used them yet…
  • I weigh at home sometimes several times a day, but my official weigh in is on Curves scale on Monday mornings which I record every week. The scale at Curves is actually around 2 pounds lighter than my scale at home, so it's a good feeling to see more of a loss or not so much of a gain when I officially weigh in. Pretty…
  • Welcome. Good luck on this journey. Where in NC are you from? I am in SC. Friend me if you like. Sorry, looked and see you are in Dunn - don't know where that is.
  • Wonderful!!! Congratulations to you!!! I know that is an awesome feeling!!!
  • Awesome!!! Doing the happy dance with you!!! What a great NSV! Congrats!
  • Also FT4 Polar and absolutely love it!!!
  • Actually having that problem today and was wondering what the problem was. I guess next time I will try no cucumbers.
  • I also use the Polar FT4 and realize how off I was when using other calorie counting devices (websites, etc.) Chest straps are the most accurate, and you can't even tell you are wearing it. Best money I have spent recently. It was a reward for my 20 lb weight loss.
  • I finished Day 7 today, but would love to encourage, get encouraged. Feel free to send me a message and add me. Good luck to everyone. The first 4-5 days I was sore, but I am getting over that. I am doing level 1 for 3 more days and then Sunday I am starting Level 2 (at least thats my plan).
  • Welcome. I have been here about 4 months and love this site. Good luck to you and hope you will enjoy it as much as I do. I am also from South Carolina (Easley). Feel free to add me if you like.
