I could have stayed in the hotel room and took a nap, instead I did the elliptical and the went to the gym and did strength training.

I do this. I weigh myself every morning too. When I see a lower number on the scale I log it and when the scale goes up, i keep my weight as the smallest one I saw. that is until the nest smallest number shows up. Just go for a walk! It will help clear your head and let you think about what all has been going on lately (or dont think about it, your choice). The first time I went running on the treadmill, I closed my eyes for just a few seconds and didnt realize how slow I was going in comparison to the machine, and fell off. IT was pretty bad at the time, and left almost immediately....lol
