  • Thanks, what i eat from day to day at times im a little stuck with seeing as again i cant get out much at all and our food gets home delivered once a week so if its no in i cant have it so to speak, i try to mix my meals up every day, that was just an example of what i had today, not what ill eat tomorrow but the calories…
  • Hey a post that isnt intimating i said something i didn't or getting oh so upset for me posting this topic! Hey mate. At the moment i dont go to a gym, im a carer for my mum so im home pretty much all the time (its not out of choice trust me), the exercise and weights i do are all at home, i brought myself some 25kilo…
  • Why? why not? why am i not allowed to post something just because you dont agree with it? are you in charge or something? is there some rule whereby someone is not allowed to post something that dosnt go with the flow? if you seriously get wound up and upset by someone posting what they've been told by a doctor on weight…
  • Cool story bro.. Right answer me this, if a person were in the dreaded "starvation mode" you so 'scarily' proclaim that person would be feeling pretty rough day to day yes? they'd be physically starving, no energy, feeling like crap basically everyday yeah? right i dont feel any of these things, i eat when im hungry and…
  • Christ on a bike 4100 calories a day!? you must be exercising and working like mad bro, if i ate 4100 a day id put on about 2lbs a week given my lifestyle, basically just another example of not everything working the same for everyone.
  • I know, i was joking with you, a sense of humour never killed anyone even if eating below ones bmr does!
  • Well you obviously cant recognize when a post is trying to incite argument at all seeing as that wasnt what i was doing at all, whether you care to accept that or not i honestly couldnt give a monkeys toss, i dont know you and you certainly dont know me so how about we top trying to pretend we know what the others motives…
  • Im guessing it stemmed from one persons theory and escalated from there? who knows, a lot of people have no idea what bmr actually is and lose weight fine simply eating less and eating healthier i go back to what i said earlier how did people in the 1950s lose weight without all these online calculators? god knows, but…
  • It does make you wonder how they get through all these qualifications dosnt it? seeing as they know nothing about anything these days, sounds like im missing out on a cracking salary, i know very little about general health or medicine never mind weight loss and diet, sounds like im well qualified! As for the starvation…
  • Why do people get so upset when anyone posts something that goes against the majority? is it not in the rules or something? are we back in Nazi Germany here? i havnt posted anything to provoke 'heated debate', if thats your reaction to it i suggest its more you with the problem than me, i posted something that i thought…
  • So my worst fears are true, im doomed, well that cat sitting under my car can get to **** now then....:) Course i love kittens, especially the one out of shrek, or do you mean actual real life kittens? :)
  • Most days im around 400 cals short of my 'bmr' at a guess anyway, my tdee is very sedentary level so eating my bmr would do me very little good weight loss wise hence i like you eat below, feel fine and am losing and losing visble fat to not muscle.
  • Thats was a brief example of what i had today, not what i have every day, sorry if that was unclear, most days my main meal will consist of some form of cabbage, some carrots, maybe peas, broccoli etc today it didint, am i going to die a horrible death now? should i run down to tesco and binge in the vegetable section??
  • Great, except i havnt said "my doctors right your all wrong so there", thats a very childish and immature response, and at no stage have i said that, feel free to re read all of my posts and show me to be a liar if you wish. What i HAVE said is what i was told today, i havnt suggested anyone to do anything, that wasnt the…
  • But yet hes a qualified nutritionist, so he'll know enough about the important aspects of weight loss and nutrition to guide people, whether hes clued up on 'bmr' and 'tdee' numbers is irrelevant, maybe the fact hes hasnt bothered to gain an insight into these so called important numbers tells you its not the be all and…
  • Or just stick to what works for me and what my doctor has told me. Ill take option b :)
  • I also think its safe to assume a doctor knows more about weight loss and diet than a random poster on the internet who reads others opinions and taks them as fact.
  • Why would i want to 'stir things up' what exactly do i get out of this exactly? i posted this because i had the very same anxietys im sure a lot of other people do when they read things like "never eat below bmr you'll die a horrible death" etc, it panics people, they think what they're doing is working then jo bloggs off…
  • Im not starving myself though, this is the point im trying to make, for me, eating between 1600-2000 cals a day feels perfectly normal, i dont at any stage feel 'starved', im never laying in bed at night craving a bic mac and fries etc, i eat what feels comfortable for me, nothing more nothing less, surely if i was…
  • Any concrete data that proves ive slown down my metabolism?? im losing around 2lbs per week which fits my deficit, im visibly losing fat around my stomach, my abs are already far more visible than 3 weeks ago, ive been told this by numerous people already, as for muscle, you dont lose muscle if you eat a good portion of…
  • No probs at all i was exactly the same, i became a nervous wreck reading some of these forums about bmr levels etc, hence why i went to see a doctor in the first place. My advice would be eat what feels comfortable to you, if your hungry eat (healthy food of course) dont starve yourself at any time, but also dont raid the…
  • But whats your daily life like? i doubt your as sedentary as i am right now correct? my TDEE is roughly only 500 cals above my BMR, if i had a job and was walking around and active all day id probably need to eat more, but seeing as walking up and down the stairs is as active as i get (before exercise) im burning very…
  • Thanks for the reply, thats another point i meant to highlight, id understand if at the end of every day my stomach was grumbling and i was literally craving food but refusing to eat, id accept that was an obvious tell tail sign im undereating and need food, but on what im eating im perfectly comfortable, im never at any…
