When I started the hardest was definitely abs. Now that I've built up some core strength, so many exercises are easier or even possible that weren't before. I still have a long way to go, but at least I can do most of the basics now (planks, push ups, sit ups).

You could add a small baked potato for around that. Or you could do a serving of oatmeal, though I can't imagine that without at least some fruit which would have sugar.

Congratulations on your success so far! You look great. That first pic from today is so cute; you should definitely wear dresses to show off those toned legs.

I always have this problem when I'm out and it's hot. You might try some cold proteins, like a bean salad, quinoa salad, or tuna salad. I find they go down a bit easier than something like a steak or chicken breast. I also get significant amounts of protein from dairy such as yogurt and low-fat milk. You could even do a…

My advice would be to see if there are any doctors in your area who specialize in treating that type of immune disorder. I have a friend who has Hashimoto's, Sjogren's syndrome, and fibromyalgia. She found a local doctor who is also a certified acupuncturist and chiropractor. She has had amazing improvements since she has…

Add me to the list for spiders, especially the furry jumping ones. They move so fast. Ugh. Also, I can't stand to drive behind semis that are hauling pipes or logs, or really anything that's strapped down with chains and looks like it could roll off and crush your car.

I'm also at the 3.8 to 4.0. By the time I get to 4.5 I have to jog. I'm 5'5". You may be able to go faster if you have longer legs.

Wow, you look fantastic. I love the retro dress; so cute, and suits you very well. You've done an amazing job in such a short amount of time. You must feel like nothing's impossible now. :)

I've had a few friends with plantar fascitis who've had good luck with shoes designed for stability since they offer lots of support and help keep the foot from pronating. Many good brands make such shoes, New Balance, Brooks, Saucony, etc. It would probably be best to go into a specialty/athletic shoe store and get fit.…

Congratulations! Sometimes it's definitely our minds that get in the way of our progress more than our bodies. Great job at pushing through and proving you could do it!

Congratulations on your success so far. You're off to a fantastic start. Best wishes for reaching your goals. That theme park trip sounds like such a fun reward.

This has applied to me in the past, but not quite as much now. I don't say this in judgement of anyone else, but from my own experience. Feelings like this are part of the reason I once weighed almost 250 pounds. I was not taking responsibility for my own choices. There was always some excuse or some set of extenuating…

Personally I use skim milk because it's got more protein and less fat than the others. If you're looking strictly for least calories or least sugars, I think the unsweetened almond milk might fit the requirements better. So, as for which is "best", it depends on what you want and what you think fits best into your needs.

Congratulations on maintaining so far. That definitely sounds like the most difficult part. Unfortunately I don't have any advice as I still have about 30 pounds to go myself. It sounds like you're on the right track with setting other fitness goals for yourself to keep you focused and aware of your body. Best wishes for…

I recently found a buckwheat pancake recipe that I like: http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/buckwheat_pancakes/ I used 1 cup buckwheat flour, 1/2 cup unbleached flour, and low-fat (1%) buttermilk, and it came out at less than 100 calories per pancake. Hope you find something tasty that meets your requirements. Nothing quite…

That's great progress; your hard work is really showing. And way to stick with it even though life kept throwing your curve balls.

Looking at the calendar, there are about 30 weeks till Christmas. I'm not sure when the party is, but probably within a couple of weeks of that. As you probably already know, sustainable weight loss is typically at or under 2 pounds per week. So I would think that losing much more than 60 pounds between now and then would…

Congratulations! That's such a nice, tangible reminder that what you're doing is really working.

This sounds like a great idea. They would be so handy instead of having to cook every morning. Hmm, already thinking of the possibilities. Thanks for sharing!
