Running socks for keeping feet dry
I have a question for the experienced runners out there. In December I'll be doing a zombie themed 5k with obstacles (Run for Your Lives) that will likely include water and/or mud. My skin is very thin and blisters easily. I don't normally have any problem with running but am concerned about rubbing issues if my feet get…

Learning to listen
Had a bit of a breakthrough this week about which I am very excited, so I wanted to share and hopefully spread the motivation. For the past 3 to 4 weeks I've been gaining and losing the same pound. During the same time period I had about 3 episodes of totally bonking. The first time I thought it was just because I'd had a…

Exercise recommendations? Success and a problem
Hello. I'm looking for some recommendations on how to change up my exercise. Specifically, the interval training I've been doing on the treadmill has been quite successful at improving my cardiopulmonary function. My breathing has significantly improved and I definitely have to push a bit harder to get my heart rate up.…

NSV - backache
I have two NSVs to share, one from last week and one from today. Last week I was noticing that I had a backache. The area that's sort of mid-back, below the shoulder blades, kind of near the bottom of the ribcage felt very tired and sore. After thinking about it and trying to figure out what I had done, I finally realized…

Thanks :)
I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to everyone who posts. I was having a rather down day and thinking of skipping my usual lunch-time workout. Then I logged on to MFP to log my lunch and stuck around to read a few posts. Y'all motivated me to get to the gym. Some days it really helps to know that you aren't in it…

NSV at the gym today
It's a small thing, but is real progress for me. Today for the first time I was able to stand on the Bosu platform unassisted. The first time I tried to use one I fell off and landed on my trainer. :embarassed: I still can't do the squats with weights, but I'll take what progress I can get for now.

Marinades?
Hello. I was wondering if there was a general consensus on how to log marinades? Do y'all log the full calories of the marinade ingredients? Log a portion of them? Or not log them at all? This would be especially for when you marinade the meat, but then pull it out and pat it dry before cooking. Thanks for any…
