Running socks for keeping feet dry

I have a question for the experienced runners out there. In December I'll be doing a zombie themed 5k with obstacles (Run for Your Lives) that will likely include water and/or mud. My skin is very thin and blisters easily. I don't normally have any problem with running but am concerned about rubbing issues if my feet get wet. Do any of you have suggestions for socks that can help with this issue? If not to keep my feet dry, at least to cut down on any friction.

Just wear an old pair of shoes and don't worry about your socks too much (just no cotton). There is no way to stay dry so just go out and have fun.0

As above and you won't be running like doing a regular 5K. It's more stop, go, zig zag, run, jump, repeat. Wear old shoes and clothes you don't care about and have fun.0

Some of my funnest races have been in the rain.
This is the finish line of a race I ran a few years ago.

You can try an anti-friction product like body-glide or blister armor- they're great for sweat and rain-type wetness, but I suspect that with full on soaking they won't do much. I would just stick to non-cotton socks that you would consider pretty much disposable.0
