672 calories burned for Thursday, 7/28 I just want to take a minute to say thanks to y'all. I have to say that the best part of this challenge is getting to know all of you. It's been quite motivational to know that we're all in the same boat (pun intended  ) Hope everyone's having a great Friday.

Sounds like a great combination. I tend to get stuck on eating the same things, so this would add some nice variety. Thanks for sharing.

I love having big, green eyes. But as far as things affected by my healthy lifestyle, I'd have to say that I've fallen in love with my hands. I've always liked my hands, but now they're even better since my fingers are no longer pudgy. I'm also rather fond of the divots that are appearing right below my collar bone.

Lack of energy was one of the reasons I started working to be healthier and lose weight. I find that exercise helps a lot. Start with something small, just a short walk or dancing around your house for 10 minutes. Work your way up to at least half an hour a day. The first two weeks were very hard for me, but then I started…

As always, your post is such a great way to start the morning. Thanks so much for spreading the love and encouragement. Many blessings to you and yours on yet another scorching Texas day.

For me it's definitely about the moderation. If I try to give things up completely it almost always backfires and I end up eating something worse or more of it. I don't have a lot of particular trigger foods, for me it's more certain situations that are hard to manage. I've gotten much better about boredom or emotional…

Got in my 9 cups of water with a couple extra. It was 105F (about 41C) outside today. Lots of water is a good thing.

Congratulations! Amazing doesn't even begin to cover it. You've done an astounding job at becoming healthier. You look so happy and full of energy now. Wishing you much happiness and continued success.

I have terrible trouble on the opposite end of the spectrum. Just try finding anything in an A cup that's more than a 36" band. :grumble: If I have extrapolated correctly from the bra sizing charts, I should actually wear a 40AA. (Currently 35" underbust and 39" bust.) Honestly I'd just go without but feel obligated to…

Tuesday, 7/26, 609 calories burned Too bad tomorrow's calories won't count as I'll likely have a dance class as well as a session with my trainer. But I'll be sure to get all my water in for the day.

Another Austinite here. I live on the north side and work in Round Rock. I love the city and it does have some wonderful food.

Congratulations! And thanks so much for sharing your inspirational photos. It's always great for me to see someone else who did it relatively slowly and has reached their goals.

Congratulations! That's such a fantastic milestone to hit. You've done an amazing job for such a short time. And it looks like you are one of those fortunate people who loses fairly evenly all over.

Finally making some good progress. I was stuck at 171 for about three weeks, but yesterday the scale said 167.4. Finally into the 160s. :drinker:

I think trying for a 1.5 pound loss per week is pushing it just a bit. Relatively speaking you don't have that much to lose. A "healthy" BMI starts at 24.9, and you're at 27.8 currently. That's really not so far. You might try setting your goals to a 1 pound loss per week. That would give you 250 more calories per day. And…

Welcome Selly! Glad to have you aboard. :) I'm in for 520 calories burned today. It was a heavy strength day with my trainer, but fit in a bit of cardio on the stair-mill after.

You can add me to the list. As of today I've lost 79 pounds since starting my journey in August 2009. So, as you can see, I've taken a slower route than many. But it's one that's worked for me. I've never thought about being on a diet; it's definitely a lifestyle change that I've taken in gradual steps. If I try to deprive…

As always, thanks for your amazing and encouraging words. I definitely have a lot to conquer this week and any extra encouragement is definitely a blessing. Sending lots of love and hugs your way from a fellow Texan. Hope you and your fabulous kids are surviving the heat well.:flowerforyou:

Sorry that I've forgotten to send updates the last couple of days. Getting ready to go on vacation soon, and this weekend was quite busy. Friday, 7/22, 602 calories Saturday, 7/23, rest day Sunday, 7/24, 351 calories I have a session with my trainer today. Depending on what we do I'll try to get in some extra cardio since…

Thanks so much for the update Gone. I'm very sorry to hear that your husband is having such a rough time. I hope that his recovery goes smoothly so that he is doing better very soon. Thanks for stepping into the captain's spot Babydull. I don't know of anyone that's looking to join at the moment.

Well, I haven't heard of a roll quite like the one you had, but you might try seeing if you can find calorie information for a rainbow roll. It's a very common sushi that's a California roll with various pieces of fish and avocado laid in overlapping strips across the top. I would think that would be a bit closer…

I usually try to eat back about half of my exercise calories. I don't have a HRM so am working with estimates. If I knew more accurately what I was burning I would aim to eat most of them most of the time. I'm working on getting more fit and adding strength as I'm losing weight, so I don't want to short-change my body of…

I definitely agree with the idea of adding strength training if you haven't yet. It will really help you lose the inches as well as continuing to lose pounds. Don't be afraid to go heavy. It takes years of specifically training for women to be able to add much in the way of bulk. Also, how are your macro nutrient ratios?…

Greek yogurt can be used lots of ways. I like it with fruit and maybe a bit of cinnamon or other spice. I also like adding it to a fruit smoothie; it makes it so creamy and adds just a bit of tartness which is nice. Seafood is great for adding protein without much fat. Egg white omlettes work great to add protein to…

That sounds so good. There are so many lovely fruits this time of year. I had an absolutely amazing plum earlier this week.

Many food processors have an attachment plate that can slice or grate foods as well as the main compartment with a large blade for blending/pureeing foods. Also, due to the shape of the compartment and blade they are much better than a standard blender for making things like meatballs or other thick mixtures. If you want…

I use the natural flavor of Biochem Sport's whey powder (http://www.countrylifevitamins.com/moreinfo.cfm?Category=20&Product_ID=334). It's pretty much just straight whey. I don't like all the additives and fake flavorings that most "shakes" add. With this I can add it to milk or a smoothie and flavor it any way I like.

Congratulations! That's such a great success to be med free. Way to take back your health!
