  • Congratulations! That's an amazing NSV to accomplish in such a short time. You must be feeling fantastic. :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks so much for sharing your inspirational story and photos. And congratulations on reaching onederland. :)
  • I've known men who preferred short hair and men who preferred long, just like some prefer blondes and other brunettes. As with any physical attribute, there's a lot of variation in what is considered most attractive. I think what matters most is that you like and feel happy with your style, be confident about your choice.…
  • That is so awesome! Your story made me laugh, but that's a really amazing accomplishment. Congratulations on transforming yourself. :)
  • Ok, made it to 150 during my lunch time workout. :) 50 regular squats with 15 pound dumbbell in each hand 50 sumo squats with a 25 pound plate 50 one-legged squats (25 each leg) Thanks for the challenge, I definitely needed the motivation to push it today.
  • Haven't done any squats since Monday, so it's a good day for it. I'll see how many I can fit in today. :)
  • Hmm, I don't think I fit any exactly. I'm guessing either coronet or brick. I have broad shoulders and torso, but no bust (seriously, not even an A cup). I tend to gain weight in the belly. I do have some hips and shapely, slightly long for my height legs. I'm thinking this puts me closest to brick. :p
  • I'm so glad to hear you survived your rough morning. Flats on the highway always freak me out; I still remember Dad talking about his CO who stopped to help someone and got hit. And hey, we got some rain this week, over 1/2 inch! So it's a good day. Hopefully there is more heading this way soon. Many blessings to…
  • Thanks so much for sharing your very inspirational photos. You've done amazingly well, and your hard work and dedication are really showing fantastic results. You are just glowing with energy in your most recent photo.
  • Congratulations, and a very happy birthday to you! Your amazing dedication and hard work definitely show in your wonderful results. Thanks so much for sharing your story with us.
  • So far it has taken me 22 months to lose 74 pounds. I have about another 25 to 30 to go. I hope to be at my goal within the next year. This has definitely been a lifestyle change for me, and I started out fairly slowly. I have never considered myself to be on a diet. I make changes that I can live with for the rest of my…
  • What you're feeling when you make those great choices to exercise and eat well is a little gift, a glimpse of your future self. You are getting a preview of how you will look and feel all the time in the future. :) You may not be all the way there yet, but you are on the journey. Sometimes it's difficult to be patient, but…
  • Wow, 500 is amazing! Congratulations! And thanks as always for the encouraging words.
  • Congratulations on your wonderful success. Your hard work and perseverance have definitely paid off. You look fantastic, and so happy.
  • I still go and work out to keep in the habit. But if I'm feeling significantly exhausted, I'll do something fairly light like walking on the treadmill, riding the stationary bike, or a low resistance on the elliptical. I don't try to run, do intervals, or lift heavy weights if I'm already very tired. Usually a light…
  • Hit snooze one too many times and didn't have time to make coffee this morning. So now I have a Starbucks in front of me. Going to regret the calories, but so needed the caffeine. Should have gone with something lighter, but it's TOM and I was feeling cranky. Lol At this point I'm just hoping no new problems will crop up…
  • Sounds like you had a great weekend. Way to go with getting out there and moving. And it's great that you have a partner to encourage your efforts. Best of luck on the C25K efforts; you'll definitely see an improvement in your fitness level and endurance as you progress.
  • Bumping for later. Thanks for sharing. :)
  • I mix my whey protein (natural flavor) with 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/2 cup lowfat Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup blueberries, and 1 frozen banana. Yum. It's 40g of protein for only about 350 calories.
  • On my Wednesday workout with my trainer I was able to complete an exercise that I couldn't do at all last time we tried. It was a core workout day and she had me doing all sorts of plank and crunch variations. Well, when she brought the scooter out (small square platform with wheels on the 4 corners) I was nervous. It…
  • You lose it one choice at a time. Sometimes the big picture can be a bit overwhelming, so just focus on each decision as you encounter it during your day. And don't worry about making the "perfect" choice; just try to make a better choice than you did last time. Eventually the small changes add up, and it does get easier.…
  • Congratulations! That's such a great milestone. You're doing fantastic.
  • Looks like it's time for some new pants. :) Congrats on the great progress.
  • Thanks Ed. I definitely needed this today. Woke up with a nasty sinus headache and have just been dragging. But I know things will get better and I can still have a great day. Hope you are having an absolutely fantastic day as well, and wishing you some cool breezes in this awful, record-breaking heat.
  • We all have rough days, so don't beat yourself up over it. Realize that some things in life are beyond your control, but your attitude is not. You can make good choices and move past this. Just think of how many good choices you have already made. Remember to be gentle with yourself. How would you advise a friend who is…
  • Congratulations! That's such a great NSV. And I know just how you feel. I've recently had to buy a few new outfits, and every time I do laundry and am folding them I'm thinking, "There's no way these will fit on my body."
  • Your face is a different shape, look at those great cheekbones. :) And as everyone has said, you definitely look trimmer through the middle too. Hope you can relax and have a great time in Vegas.
  • Wow, great job! You look amazing, and so happy. That's a fantastic time too. Thanks so much for sharing your pictures and story. I definitely need the extra motivation this week.
  • I have my activity level set to sedentary since I work at a desk job. So if I do a lot of cleaning, like sweeping and mopping the whole house (all but the carpeted bedrooms of a 3400 square foot house), then I'll log it. It takes a fair amount of time and definitely burns some calories that I wouldn't on a typical day.…
