I'm extremely self-conscious about being flat chested. I have broad shoulders and a huge ribcage, so it's quite out of proportion. I have to pay attention to my posture a lot or I find myself hunching my shoulders. Ugh. I try to tell myself that it's just the way it is and I have to deal with it, but it does still bother…

Looking at standard tuna roll recipes, I would say yours would run a bit higher in calories due to the avocado and tempura fried scallions. Some tuna rolls have a bit of avocado in the middle, but aren't completely covered. So I'd probably take the info for the standard spicy tuna rolls that you've found and add how much…

I find this site helpful to estimate sushi and other Japanese foods: http://www.sushifaq.com/sushi-calories.htm It should at least give you an idea on the spicy tuna roll.

I'm sorry to hear that you are surrounded by such rude and ignorant people. For my way of thinking, you chose the hard way to do it, so big congratulations on having the strength to make those decisions and stick with them. You've had to spend time educating yourself and getting to know your body in ways that someone who…

Great job! It's so awesome that your family went on this journey together and is now much healthier. Congratulations!

Saturday I'll be going with some friends to see a local production of Twelfth Night. Should be a lot of fun. I saw the same troupe put on Midsummer Night's Dream last fall, and it was fantastic. And Sunday I'll be running/walking my first 5K ever. I'm a bit nervous as I've never been much for running.

I can definitely see some differences there. Your waist is more defined and the line of hip to thigh has changed which suggests that your legs are smaller/more muscular now. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations! That's an amazing accomplishment. You look so much happier and more confident now.

Congratulations! That's great progress. Love the outfit in your after pic. It's so casual and cute.

Hello from a fellow Austinite. :) This is a great place, very supportive. I think you'll find it helpful and enjoyable.

Great job! You are doing fantastic, and yes, 50 pounds makes a big difference. Best wishes on reaching your next goal.

I have quite a fondness for calves liver, but have always thought I was in the minority on this one. Oh, and I forgot mocha... I love chocolate and coffee, but put them together, and blech.

Hmm, I don't exactly loathe, but am not a big fan of bacon, popcorn, and television. I've learned to eat the uncured bacon occasionally, but it's still not my favorite. The only actually tasty way to eat popcorn is the fresh kettle corn found at fairs. And I can't remember the last time I turned on the TV. Now I have seen…

Thanks for sharing your beautiful lunch with us. I've been wanting to start making bento boxes for lunch, but have not taken the time to do so yet. Though I've worked my way up to getting up early enough to scramble an egg for breakfast now rather than just grab a bowl of cereal. So maybe there's hope one day.

Add me to the list for salmon. I love many other fish and types of seafood, but don't much like salmon at all. It has such a strong flavor. For everyone who mentioned the texture of oats, have you tried steel cut oats? It has the same flavor as rolled oats (regular oatmeal), but a completely different texture. It looks…

Before you make a huge investment, it might be worth going to a specialty shoe store and explaining your problem. I have high arches, and if I don't have proper metatarsal and arch support my ankles start aching a lot. (The pain is on the inside of the ankle.) I have some inserts for my shoes that haven't solved the…

I log the sort of thing you are doing in class as calisthenics, either light or heavy depending on how high my heart rate gets and if it stays there for long. I think most people log Zumba under dance, or perhaps aerobics. As for the treadmill, I always log it under walking and the mph. So for example, "walking, 3.5mph",…

Wow, thanks so much for sharing these very inspiring pictures. And thanks also for sharing your story. It's good to hear about someone who's made it all the way to their goal by starting off slowly. I've been working toward my goal for over a year and a half now, and think it will probably take me about another year to get…

Wow, that's fantastic! Congratulations on being mind-bogglingly awesome.

Well, first off, you don't suck. This is a learning process, and you can only start from where you are. Since you've been logging your foods, take a look back and see where you might be able to make some substitutions or reduce portion sizes. Don't try to do everything at once. For example, if you like Starbucks, try…

Congratulations! That can be one of the hardest things to learn, and you already have it down.

Sending you a big welcome from Austin. This is a great place for support and finding people that understand the daily struggles.

I tend to save more calories for dinner since it's the only meal I eat with other people most days. So breakfast is usually under 300 calories. What makes the difference for me is to have plenty of protein. If I have about 20g of protein with breakfast, I won't be hungry before lunchtime.

Congratulations! You look great and like you have so much more energy now. Thanks for sharing your success with us.

Great job! Thanks so much for sharing your inspirational pictures with us.

I've switched almost all my breads, pastas, and cereals to whole grain varieties. They're more filling and usually have more fiber and other nutrients. Skim milk and one teaspoon of raw sugar in my coffee instead of half and half and a load of sugar. (Though I do still indulge in half and half occasionally on a weekend,…
