  • I had my second marriage and my goal was to fit in my daughter's wedding dress, and made that goal. It was similar to your dress. It is not overkill. Now after almost 3 exquisite years of my marriage, my husband and I are both trying to slim down from my excited excessive cooking. :D
  • I want to be the hot female software engineer, not the weird, old, frumpy looking one. I got married as a size 4 3 years ago and really let myself go. My husband calls me his flower, and I want to feel like his flower again!

  • I have been size 18 pants over the years. Today was a weird thrift store shopping spree for new (to me) work clothes. I needed dress pants. I started with 10s because I have lost weight and knew that my 8 jeans fit me.....I ended up with sizes 4 and 6 pants, and x-small/small tops. I also wore shorts in front of a person…

  • To fit into my daughter's wedding dress! My daughter got married in the beginning of June, and I wore a cute light blue tank dress with sequins that I would not be caught dead in previously. I was so proud of myself, as I had gone from 218 lbs to 156 lbs in 18 months. My daughter is a good 25 pounds lighter than…

  • I second the fat free greek yogurt, I add Walden Farms calorie free raspberry spread and a few drops of stevia and love it! Also, for breakfast sometimes I will throw 3/4 cup egg whites, a scoop and a half of protein powder, a bit of baking powder and some light salt into a blender, whip it up, and make 2 pancakes with it,…
  • I am pretty much at the same spot as you. I started at 215 in January of 2016 and am now 154. I need to lose the last 20 pounds too! 135 would be really fantastic! I feel great right now, have used basically high protein, low carb, fill in with fat, stay under 1400 cals/day, and a good 3X/week weight training program. Not…
  • 5'4" here. SW: 215, CW: 195, GW: 135 I am going a bit slower with the loss, as I am doing a full body weightlifting routine 3 times a week, but I really feel it in my clothes!
  • Go to fannetasticfood dot com sweet-potato-lentil-coconut-curry This stuff is seriously awesome! I had it a couple times this week, filling and still lost weight, no problem.
  • Wearing the sexiest dress I can without looking like I am trying too hard to be younger!
  • Plan for it and then own it! I just logged a large Coldstone Creamery coffee lovers without shame. Today was my first cheat day in a month, and I have been making some serious progress, so I figured, hey, going for it! I came in within my limit by the skin of my teeth, but even if I went over, I would have no…
  • Don't know what the rest of your home life is like, but you need support and encouragement. See if you can maybe find a support group in your town, it does not have to be fitness or diet related. Some days, getting out of bed to be present with your kids is a monumental exercise. I know, I raised three with a husband that…

  • +1 Seriously, I am 41 and just last year FINALLY decided I was worth a degree. In the local college, couldn't be happier. However, I will say that I had a great stretch of time to raise my kids, and they are AMAZING, so the last 20 years was definitely not a waste.
  • Goodness, that soup looks awesome! I love curry. Where did you get the recipe? Congrats on the water loss, I am always so relieved to be rid of excess bloat. How's everyone doing?
  • Joining the moderation train! I got a couple bags of Hershey Kisses, not the greatest, but hey, Valentine's Day post day sale! I started thinking differently every day. Instead of, "I can't have chocolate." or "I can only have this much." I now say, "I have calories left, so I get to have a piece or two. I can do this…
  • WOO! I have a ways to go for 150, but I want it really bad, so I believe it will happen. 10 more pounds, you can do it! Last Friday's stats: 197 lbs...another 2 down! Neck: 13 5/8 Bust: 41.5 Chest: 35.75 Waist: 38.5 Hips: 42 Thigh (R): 27 Calf: 17
  • Well, last Friday I got to 199 lbs! YAY! Measurements: Neck: 13.75" Bust: 42" Chest: 36" Waist: 39" Hips: 42" Thigh (R): 26.5" Calf: 17" I am so very happy that I got back to doing MFP, it helps so much to keep me in check.
  • I would like to be added to the team here. Just started MFP again, last time it helped me so much. Unfortunately stress of life got me and I am back up...sigh. Time to start over. I have been going to the gym 3 times a week for the last 4 weeks doing my lifting routine, and I will be continuing my logging here. 205 last…
  • That is so interesting! I did a "detox" because I used to get migraines every week, cut out grains, starchy veggies, nightshades, sugar, dairy, eggs and then did a really anal reintroduction. I can eat everything without a problem, except wheat, gives me the 3 day aural migraines. Everyone is so varied in what works for…
  • I get sad about not having any amount of chocolate or ice cream I want, but then I try to remember my old size, and I look in a window or mirror and realize again that I am a size 10 and going down. What I get sad about is that wheat will give me a 3 day pounding migraine, so I really miss just having a good piece of…
  • I would like to be in a size 8. I'm in a 10 now. My goal WAS a size 4, but I have since come out of the clouds and become more rational. I also had a challenge a few weeks ago where I went on a trip, and I was able to stay wheat free under stress for the first time. The holidays will present many challenges with all the…
