HW: 220 GW: 150 Jan 1: 207.8 Jan 2: 206.4 Jan 3: 205 Jan 4: 203 Water weight drops are very motivating, but the desert of non-loss that comes after is very frustrating! I will take what I can get though! We will be eating out of the freezer the next few days; we have some beef and pork coming in 2 weeks and I need to clear…

Hi there! Starting nearly over again, but 2024 is shaping up to be a very active year in my life and I want to be ready for it! HW: 220 CW: 205 GW: 150 Jan 1: 207.8 Jan 2: 206.4 Jan 3: 205 I went haring off up a gully with my husband a couple weeks ago and did something to my leg, so I am recuperating, but I will be…

Lost an automobile tire so far in the last few months. I am aiming to lose an Irish Setter!

"Hoping for 185 by the end of the month!" Well, it is the end of September, and I gained a pound to 191.4, but I am just glad I didn't go crazy. It was a rough work month and I think I did well considering. My next goal is to have a successful 8-week challenge. It starts in a week, and I would like to be in the 170s by the…

Ready to go into fall with Rain Dancers!

OK, it is September 1and I made it! 189.8 this morning! Honestly, it feels like it has been a major haul this month, but I looked back, and I lost almost 10 pounds since Aug 30, so I really am feeling motivated to keep going! Hoping for 185 by the end of the month!

This is so uplifting and motivating! "I was under the impression that “chocolates, cakes, cookies and pies” were the reason that I was fat. That is why the first year I didn’t lose any weight. I was in denial that it really was “the healthy meals” that were the issue. Specifically the salads and baked potatoes, due to the…

Get to 190 by the end of the month. I am 193, so it is doable!

I tried on my size 10 jeans yesterday. They were tight, but they did zip and button up! Looking forward to making them loose!

I am going to agree with most here, I don't think it is harder to actually lose the weight. I am 48 and this is not my first rodeo... Our bodies can be more injured, we need to account for that and find exercises that work for us. Also, since we are in our 40s, my best suggestion is to add some weights to your routine. We…

Thanks, @Tabatha_Cain, I will rock this weight and hopefully be in the 100s soon! My husband and I LOVE blueberries, hope you got lots! @ohnogoldens - That sounds like a horribly rough year! Hope your repairs and upgrades go well at your house, pace yourself. When I had my place and 20 acres in Montana, it always felt like…

Good morning! Got a bit of a shock this morning. Good though, I put new batteries in the scale yesterday, and then this morning weighed without clothes before breakfast, all which I did not do in the last few days. I also got back into my better nutrition and exercise the last few days. I am not 210, I am 203.4 lbs! This…

Thank you @jeanhickokhaley1, @Dianedoessmiles1, and @Tabatha_Cain for the welcome and the helpful hints! I will go take a look at youtube for some of those videos. I use it for Yoga, so I am sure I can find something fun to do in the air conditioning! Just got my trip to Costco done and cleared out the pantry for this…

I did all of the pre-flight activities and printed some things out about the mindfulness and emotional eating, since that is an issue for me. Got my calendar set up, my scale has new batteries, and I just went to Costco and cleared out my pantry. I got some good healthy stuff that I really like so it doesn't feel like such…

I put this on my work calendar, it is the one electronic calendar I look at. I added a recurring appointment and pasted the above spreadsheet image in the body, so I can see all the weeks' Living the Good Life challenges.

I am an emotional and bored eater. I need to put my phone away during meals and use the HALT method when I am faced with food. It will allow me to enjoy my dinners with my husband more, too!

Exercise: 1. Weights, full body, 3X a week (M-W-F). I already do this. 2. Yoga T-Th. So, I am doing something good on my off days. It helps with my balance. 3. 30 minutes a day of walking added to my daily routine. I am inside at home working, and I need to take breaks to get exercise, but also to rest my brain.

I count calories, stay away from as much grain as possible, and limit my sugar. For the challenge, I will be trying to make conscious decisions to not eat dairy at some of my meals. I LOVE dairy in all forms, and it definitely adds calories that I do not need.

Summer 5% challenge goals: Goal: To actually have a true 5% loss. That is 10.5 pounds for me. I think that this would be a huge benefit because it would put me under 200 pounds. Exercise: 1. Weights, full body, 3X a week (M-W-F). I already do this. 2. Yoga T-Th. So I am doing something good on my off days. It helps with my…

Summer 5% challenge motivation: I am back in the 200s again, and I really need help with this. I seem to be having a much harder time losing weight with perimenopause. Loss is slow, even when I exercise and am pretty strict with my logging, so it can be very demotivating. My blood pressure is up, and I do not want to be on…

I am brand new to this group and very excited! I did so well several years ago, dialing in, weightlifting, outside exercise, eating well, and got down to my goal weight for my wedding, which put me in a size 4! Then of course I got comfy with my new married life, started work as a software engineer, which means I am…

Hi there everyone! How many 5% Challenges have you done? This will be my first, so glad I saw this in Dianedoessmiles1 thread! What do you like to do for fun? fishing, soapmaking, baking (one of my issues!), crafty stuff like crochet and cross stitch, want to get back into hiking. What major city do you live in or near?…

Good evening! Pretty good day today, it was 65 degrees here today and tonight we are supposed to get a frost, so I need to bring my tomatoes in to the garage. I had to get a blanket while working, it got cold! I love it, I used to live in Montana, so no biggie. Really good food day and did get a yoga session in, a fiery 20…
