It was very hot out, though fortunately not humid, and I really struggled with the few uphill blocks and had to stop and rest (I use a rollator walker with a seat, so was able to sit down). I was a little surprised by the difficulty because the scale has been moving downward and I’m.feeling a bit lighter. But the experience made me think how much easier that walk will get with another ten pounds off - or hopefully even five. Instead of feeling discouraged, I unexpectedly felt motivated. It’s because the weighing and portion control and exercise are actually producing tangible results.
Isn't it crazy the things that motivate us?2 -

I'm 5'7" tall and my goal weight is 150lbs + or- 5lbs.
17lbs to go with a goal of 1 -2 lbs per week.
I have quit drinking all forms of alcohol. Best decision I have ever made.
Counting my calories and keeping them max 1500 per day.
Joined a gym and am lifting 3x per week.
Walking the dog 5k 4x per week.
The first 14lbs fell off rather quickly. It has slowed a bit but I know that is normal for me and doesn't concern me one bit and it will be slow and steady now.
cheers!
I bet your dog is loving it! Keep up the great work!!!2 -
Started on June 6. My first goal was to lose 20 lbs by Labor Day… met and exceeded that goal! Yippee!
Next goal is a total of 30 lost by my birthday near the end of October.
Thank you to everyone who posts here - these boards are so very helpful to me!10 -

Yes! Two months ago, I would have just felt demoralized as I dragged myself home. I’ve always been one of those people who says, “Oh, yeah, I should do X” for that different outcome and then just doesn’t do it. So this is like a totally different mindset. Kinda cool. Hope it lasts.

OK, it is September 1and I made it! 189.8 this morning! Honestly, it feels like it has been a major haul this month, but I looked back, and I lost almost 10 pounds since Aug 30, so I really am feeling motivated to keep going!
Hoping for 185 by the end of the month!16 -

I'm 99% sure that was a typo, probably meant to say "lost almost 10 pounds since July 30," because the original post that was linked here was from August 13. (That was when she was at 193 lbs., and now 189.8 lbs so that's a weight loss of 4.2 lbs since August 13. Still worth celebrating, but not 10 lbs in 2 days haha.)

I have a new goal: to be able to walk a mile easily. There's an event in late November that I'm super excited about, and it requires me to walk a mile. I've started walking regularly, just 1/4 mile at first but yesterday I did 3/4 mile and it only nearly killed me but fortunately there's still plenty of time left to get in better shape by November!15

My second goal is to fit into my work trousers without struggling to close the clasp and zipper I think losing another 7 lbs should help greatly8

Have 1.4 more Lbs to go. Idk how long that'll take.Started out at 140.3 and now 136.4.
I made it to mini GW of 135 and now i'm below that.
I'm 133.7lbs, I'm onto goal of losing 5 pounds more. For a weight of 128.7lbs : ).
Remember everyone to stay patient and be discipline. Hold what you learn along the way. like me taking note.. that protein isn't the only filling macro nutrient... Fat do wonders as well. When I increase my fat intake and eating more beans(fiber) with meat. It help me to stay satisfied longer. I hit my weightloss goal more often. Than what I've done in years.11 -

Finish out this week strong with protein/calorie/exercise goals knowing I may not see a loss this week due to starting it with a challenging weekend of traveling. Training myself to keep bouncing back.6
