Had a falafel wrap last night, yum!

Great idea. Will be too busy this weekend, but did find a local one to try out soon!

I eat Uncle Sam's cereal for breakfast every day. I love the taste, and it's one of the least processed cereals out there. But I eat even the 'junkiest' cereals--they make great desserts!

Do what sounds like fun! The more you enjoy what you're doing, the more likely you'll stick with it.

You crazy kids nowadays, with your "clean eating". Back in my day we called them whole foods and we liked it!

A meal at a vegetarian Indian restaurant.

I love it when a plan comes together! :)

"Tiffin is a form of cake-like confection composed of crushed biscuits (most commonly digestive biscuits), sugar, syrup, raisins and cocoa powder, often covered with a layer of melted chocolate...following preparation of the mixture, the confection is chilled until set....the product may also be known as fridge cake."

This is a great idea! I weigh daily as well, and to avoid the yo-yo effect I've just been recording new lows. Maybe if I get an app to do the moving average I'll switch to that. I'm too lazy to do the math myself :)

I really recommend walking as a first exercise after being sedentary. I started here a little over a month ago, and I've gradually worked my way up to one hour walks. Listen to your body. It's much better to progress slowly than to get an injury that will set you back for weeks.

"Well here are two long-term weight management truisms for you. If you can't happily eat less, you're not going to eat less. And if you can't happily exercise more, you're not going to exercise more. Next time you're considering a new diet or other weight-loss technique, ask yourself a simple question: "Could I happily…

I give myself rewards for hitting weight mini-goals, and bras are definitely one of the things I buy!
-
...these very well may end up in my shopping cart next week!

Ooo, I like the idea of adding tomatoes to soup. I'll probably use pico de gallo instead of canned tomatoes.

If you're walking 1-2 hours a day, you probably need more than 1400 calories. You'll find it easier to stay consistently within your calorie goal if it is more generous.

A hiking trip somewhere beautiful!

I used to buy fat-free Nayonaise back when I lived near a Whole Foods. I liked it. I assume the Vegenaise would be similar, but I've never had it.

I don't know that I'm scared of losing weight, but I do think I've used my fat as a buffer between myself and other people.

I use milks irregularly, so it comes down to what I can buy in small sizes. I get 4-packs of 1-cup containers of sweetened almond milk, and cans of light coconut milk for when I have a recipe that calls for unsweetened milk.

You can cook a big pot of beans on the weekend, and use them throughout the week in different recipes.
-
I did some stretches today after having neglected them for a couple of weeks, and I can tell I'm more flexible and stronger than before.

I can understand some people wanting their friends to have completed profiles, and if that's what you need to develop a connection, then it will just have to be with someone other than me. I am a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.

I think a common problem here is that people set their calorie goals too low. This ends up making them too hungry to follow the plan long term. And if you do a lot of exercise, you'll need to eat even more.

I believe there are Zumba DVDs, if you'd rather do that at home.

I love Cilantro! However what I can *not* stand is the taste of tequila. How does anyone drink that stuff?
-
Yes. But sometimes I'm at a party, and I don't over-eat, but the calories are ??, so when that happens I put a wild guess in the calorie tracker and just list everything I ate in the food notes.

While I'll drink artificial sweeteners every so often, I don't keep them on hand. Kroger sells some flavored sparkling water. Its ingredient list: carbonated water, natural flavors. I usually just drink plain water, but I like to have this sparkling water as an occasional treat!
-
Haha, I love it too, just glad it's far enough away I don't indulge too often.

Someone doesn't want to add me because of my pic? I wouldn't want a friend like that.
