  • You left out cheese...i've been eating the heck out of meat, cheese and eggs...
  • Thanks. You are right..but the more I find myself making the right choices, the easier it seems to be. Today for example I was in a seminar all day, where they provided lunch. Normally, they have a relatively healthy option if you are low carbing it...today though was fried chicken, Mac n cheese, biscuits, Cole slaw, and…
  • Well, from reading through, I guess I'll be the supersized one to say something...currently, I'm staring down the barrel for 438...my "target" at this point in time is going to be 325...this is just a random number that I have pulled down, becuase I know that it has to be a heck of a lot healthier than what I'm at now, and…
  • First goal for me is 125...we will see how that suits me, may re-evaluate after that and go down just a bit more, but for now, will be happy with 125...
  • Who would have thought that salt would be causing me to be so sleepy? LOL
  • The last time that I got into the water shirtless was when i was 14 years old (I'm now 38)_...i was already developing moobs at that point in my life and my own family laughed and made fun of me...I have even went so far as to avoid going swimming even with a shirt on, if i knew or even thought that there would be a lot of…
  • Looking for new friends here, as well as on FitBit... FitBit: //www.fitbit.com/user/5RBJM8
  • Apparently, you have to PM your email, or, insert your Fitbit I'd into the post...
  • I'm feeling a bit stupid now, but, does anyone know how to add our MFP friends to Fitbit?
  • Here's a stupid question...has anyone found that after cutting their carbs significantly, that they have become sleepy nearly all of the time? I know their is the "carb flu", but this is something different...if I sit for more than a couple of minutes, I become so sleepy I can't stand it. Took a nearly 3 hour nap last…
  • Been low carbing for about 3 weeks now...scales say I'm losing about 5 pounds a week so far...feel free to add me as well, could use the insights from those more experienced.
  • Here's a little something that I have learned...everyone messes up every now and then and "falls off the wagon". If we are all 100% truthful with ourselves, at least...Used to, once I messed up, I thought "that's it, let's just blow this thing in style"...but what I have found, is that instead, just continue as best you…
  • Thanks all for the words of encouragement and such...I know it is only one small victory in a much larger war...but, I'm determined to have plenty of these small victories to celebrate... :)

  • Don't have kids, but....know what you're talking about... :(
  • What's worse, is getting onto the ride, and then it being held up while they come to "help" you get the bar locked, only to have everyone looking at you when they tell you that you have to get off because you are too large to ride...
  • Been there, done that, had the t-shirt, but it was too small...
  • Long and short of it...if you are trying to quit smoking while trying to loose weight at the same time, hit me up with a friend invite...I can use all the smoking cessation support that I can get...and who knows, maybe we can help each other out...
  • The smoking part is what is going to get me though...I haven't had any trouble controlling cravings for food or the like..but the cigarrettes...that's another story....
  • Just started trying to quit smoking again...not sure how it's going to work out for me though...been a pack a day smoker for quite some time now...I'm trying a e-cig to cut down on the real stuff and to prevent me from gaining weight rather than losing...
  • Hey everyone...figured I'd introduce myself in here as well...I'm Brian...I'm 6'0" and as of this morning, weigh 404...not sure what my weight was at my heaviest as my house scales wouldn't weigh me...finally broke down and went to Kroger and used the scales there after dieting and exercising for a couple of weeks and was…

  • You buy your shoes a size bigger than you wear and tie them loose so you don't have to bend over to tie them...you just slip them on...
  • So, guess I'll chime in on this one...have no clue what my original starting weight was...household scales couldn't do the job...finally went to Kroger's and used their scales after about 3 weeks of dieting and was at 415....since then, am down to 406...my first target, is going to be 325, hopefully in time for a Hawaii…
  • When you make a joke about your own weight to keep others from doing it for you... :(
