Meal plans: cleaneating.com Any of the "Rules of Lifting" books, Tosca Reno's books for workouts. There are also tons of sites online that have 'workouts of the day' (they're not all crossfit). Daily Burn, Livestrong, youtube. All kinds of free stuff out there.

Apparently, the guy the that said "Dam girl" (where the d word had two syllables), and then crashed into a rack of clothes must have. Cause he watched when I walked by. I'm 5'7 and yeah, there are some curves. IMHO, I'm top heavy. I mustn't be too bad. Is 5'7 tall enough?

Great job! We need people like you. Thank you for all that you do.

Cut them up into manageable portions. Then freeze them. Save the manageable portions for a day when you can plan them in :) Like half a serving on Friday or something like that.

My husband did that only 3 times. Called me names, told me working out wasn't working, told me that at my age I was stuck with what I got. The 3rd time I got in his face and told him I was taking charge of my own life and taking better care of myself. He had two options shut up or get out. He's still here. Each time he…

Ahhh, noodle knees and jelly legs :) Agree with the advice about the pre-run banana, as well as the after run nutrition. Chocolate Milk is a good post-run snack, as is yogurt and a little fruit. This time of year you can add cherries, and flax meal, both of which are said to have anti-inflammatory properties. The latest…

I have maintained my weight loss for four years now. The first thing you'll discover is, you can't lock in to a specific number on the scale. You'll be within 5 lbs of that at any given time depending on what you eat. Normal for me tends to be a 50/30/20 Carbs/Protein/Fats split. So I can enjoy most 'evil' things in one's…

Only gripe I have w/ MFP is that you need to have a data plan to access the database w// the mobile app. Luckily I frequent places w/ free Wifi and can search from my phone. Otherwise the only choices you have from the phone when not connected to internet are what you've done from the phone for the past few days.

If I eat after 10PM I usually say I'll enter it the next morning. ...and then forget about it... ...until 2 days later when I get on the scale and wonder why I'm gaining weight...

Tupperware makes small containers for salad dressing. 2 TBS fills one of those about 2/3 of the way full.

1. Wow its a nice day. 2. I turned the Garmin on right? 3. I like the next song better 4.That's not a skunk is it? Oh its the neighbors cat. 5. In 1,2 out 1, 2 6. That's a cool purple flower 7. Ah, critter poop. They have all that grass land and they still poop on the road. What's wrong with them? 8. Oh look, the yellow…

I forget where I read it, but a fist sized portion of most foods is approximately equal to 1 cup. So, if you're ok with that margin of error in your tracking, it does help you stay in control as much as you can. Staying in control at a buffet is really the key to surviving it. One of my favorite tricks is on the first trip…

<applause>, <applause> Wow, you've been down a rough road. I don't even know ya and I'm proud you told your story. I wish you all of the success in the world! I'm only 50, but I grow weary of hearing how hard it is to lose weight when you're "our age". Whether you're 50 or 66, you do have to acknowledge your situation and…

My foot is the same way! I also had the same issue for awhile. I ended up with a pair of Feetures socks: http://www.amazon.com/Feetures-Elite-Merino-Ultra-Cushion/dp/B00E44SACI/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&qid=1405217887&sr=8-22&keywords=feetures then I lace up my shoes like this:…

My husband used to work on Sat. TV systems. Every neighbor in the subdivision has shown up at one time or another! We started telling people up front, "If you need parts can you pay for it?" If we were doing something he'd think a minute and then say he probably didn't have the part to fix that on the truck. Could it wait…

So far the TIde Active has been working for me. Same price as the regular tide. I also make sure that the gym bag is never zipped all the way closed (usually leave about 2" open).

Check out enell.com for sports bras...designed for us big gals :)

Being fat probably is not a disability but being fat probably could cause disabling conditions such as joint problems. That said, Obesity is a multi-pronged condition. There's the addiction factor of food, the activity (or lack thereof), and the head games involved. Everybody has a reason why we ended up the way we did. So…

Yes, daily fluctuations are possible. Sodium can affect it, the amount of water you drink, when you drink the water, when you weigh, certain foods you may be sensitive to, and LOTS more. Weight loss is not linear, its more like a zig zaggy line! I wouldn't weigh yourself everyday, it'll drive you to madness! Weigh once or…

1) If the gym is full of skinny people, maybe that gym is doing something right? 2) Your own worst enemy is between your ears. All of us who were fat knew we had to do something. We had to find something we enjoyed and could stick with. Then we had to follow through. Its perfectly ok if the gym is not your thing. 3) The…

One boss doesn't trust everyone on the team. So, he tries to get information out of those of us he does trust about what the others were doing, and where they were, etc. 3 of us 'disappeared' for 2 hours and when he finally found us he asked us why we were goofing off in the conference room. We weren't goofing off, we were…

I've been logging my food since 2008. Yep, 6 years. I'm at the point where I don't really need to log all the time, but have also experienced how lack of attention contributes to losing control. On days that I don't pre-plan, I take pictures with my phone and go back at the end of the day and enter everything. Its…

You're looking for motivation, not a critique on your relationship (which it looks like you've gotten many times over!) Through my journey, I've discovered that I ended up unhealthy for the following reasons: 1) I didn't know what healthy was 2) I didn't know what good nutrition meant 3) I had no clue how to exercise These…

I'll spend about 200 calories on a hunk of cake. Depending on what kind it is. If you cut it small enough you at least get a taste :)

I do a combo of what the two above me said :) I plan in a smaller portion of my 'craved' foods, such as Reeses Peanut Butter cups. I've found that 5 of the mini's (the one's about 1/4" in diameter) are about 100 calories. Keeps me from going bonkers craving them.

1) Don't ever get fat in the first place! 2) Don't quit after a week of trying something new. (Sometimes it takes a little longer to establish a comfort level with a new food or exercise.) 3) You can do more than you think you can. Give yourself a chance to succeed. 4) Sitting on your butt won't make it smaller. 5) Face…

I find this site to be really good for 'plain english' explanations: http://www.healthcastle.com This page addresses Carbs specifically: http://www.healthcastle.com/nutrition101_carbohydrates.shtml The list of related articles will probably answer every issue that you can think of after that :)
