Thanks! This is all a series of processes, you'll get there, too! Baby steps, right? (Or perhaps more like the dainty little ones we have to use with stilettos, hahaha!)

Investing in wedges with low, mid and high heel sizes can help, too. One can get used to the height with a little more support. I know that insatiability well, now. Gettin' fancy!

^^This. I can maintain on 2500 and I'm a 5'2", 116 lb , 29 yo female. Level of activity and consistency makes the difference, as does genetics, how heavy one may or may not lift, etc.

Modcloth! That is my addiction! ^_^ Ahhh, that muscle definition. I don't flex as much as I did when I first noticed it, but then again, I may have shown everybody my awesome biceps at this point. Who am I kidding? I still flex every chance I get. I did that for Christmas! Get it. It's fun!

As an at-home exercise enthusiast, I'm partial to www.fitnessblender.com (videos) and www.neilarey.com (visual charts). My thoughts on developing a routine: Find something you enjoy and do it. It's not worth it if you don't like it.

I loved Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30, but I enjoy fitnessblender.com even more. They've got plenty of different levels and times, including a few to do with your kids.

The embroidered western shirt paired with a bass/guitar has that rockabilly flair - it just works! I've found that my confidence has skyrocketed, not just because I've lost weight, but because I have so much more energy and a zest for life's experiences that I had given up on when I was depressed. Fitness is its own reward.

Experiment with your numbers, see if you can eat more and still lose weight. I'm 5'2", 117 lbs and I still lose eating 1700-1900 every day (netting 1450ish). I maintain eating 2100-2300 gross (typically 1800 net). We all start out somewhere. I began here eating 1200 a day. It wasn't enough for me, so I did research and…

If I have a bag of chips in front of me, I could easily nosh most of the bag before I realize it. I make sure to portion it out, instead. I don't have the excuse of not realizing when I'm measuring it out, and it's made me much more mindful of how I eat.

"Don't you miss your boobs?" Yeah, because my self validation is directly dependent on the size of my chest, right? ..... Not so much. My chest is my business, not anyone else's. I don't find it cute or funny when people ask me if I miss my huge knockers (news flash: I don't). "Are you sure you're not losing too much…

Villian. The facial hair deemed it so.

^This. ^_^

Halfway through my weight loss, I went to Helzberg (where I bought my ring) to get my ring cleaned and asked about a ring adjuster. They put one on right then and there, free of charge. I got it resized last month, after being at maintenance for a few months and deciding it was finally time.

I use the recipe builder all the time. It's important to make certain that labels match and you're entering accurate weights/measurements. It can be a bit tricky until you get used to it.

stacyjh said it well: Start simple. I used to get frustrated and super stressed out while cooking, until I started cooking whilst listening to music (it helps me focus). Start with simple recipes (I like allrecipes.com), move on when you feel a bit more comfortable.

I don't do elimination diets or very low calorie diets. Detoxes are unnecessary (and freak me out). I don't believe these are sustainable or healthy. Try this, instead: Drink more water. Find healthier foods that you enjoy, incorporate more of those into your diet. It's fine to eat junk food, just eat less of it. Pay…

This. Seriously. All food, in moderation. There is a difference in how many calories are in different foods, not whether they are labeled "good" or "bad". Start small. Small, consistent changes become habit, after a while. Focus on one thing at a time (starting with the number of calories), then move on when you feel…

5'2 here, went from 178 lbs to 115 lbs. I started out doing the 1200 net bit (1600 or so gross) and decided it wasn't enough for me. I slowly increased to 1500 net (1900-2000 gross) and continued on. Slower, yeah, but that wasn't an issue as long as I was still losing, so I kept at it. I now maintain at 1700 net (typically…

My favorite free site is www.neilarey.com. There are many programs to choose from (check the tabs) or you can pick what workout suits your mood, whichever be the case. I'm fond of body weight workouts, as that's what I can manage at home.

When you're knees are hurting from it, adjust your form. I didn't go down as far when I started, simply because it made my knees scream. That was pushing it too far for me. I still did it, but didn't go down quite so far. You can modify everything to your needs and push yourself a bit further when they don't feel quite so…

I -loved- Ripped in 30. Week 4 was my fave, even though it was a beast. If you're feeling pain that isn't normal soreness, you may be pushing yourself harder than you can handle. Have you tried giving yourself an extra day off during the week? There's really no reason to force it 6 days a week if you need that extra day…

It's so true. I noticed the difference when I began to lose weight. I could tell a difference in how my clothes fit at just 6 lbs down. Every 10 lbs lost was another pant size down, too.
-
Have you lost 20% or more of your starting body weight? - Yep! I lost 1/3 of my starting body weight. Are you working to make the lifestyle change stick? - Of course! My priorities have shifted, that's all. Do you log every day (or just about)? -Yep. 493 day streak. Do you exercise 4 or more days a week? -Typically 5-6.…

I have 2 cups every morning, with a tsp of sugar and a tbsp of creamer each. When I began on MFP, I cut out the creamer and switched to milk, until pumpkin spiced creamer rolled around. I enjoy my flavored creamers too much to give them up, so I worked them into my day, instead. My point? Have your coffee how you like it.…

The biggest meal of the day for me is my dinner, and I like it that way. I also prefer to weigh in once a week, at the same time, to get a more accurate reading. Weight fluctuations are due to many variables: food/liquid intake, voiding bladder and bowels, water retention from exercise (starting new routines causes a bit…

www.neilarey.com My absolute favorite free site with plenty of different body weight routines.

When I find myself coming in with low numbers, I make an insanely awesome protein shake. I'm talking chocolate whey powder +banana +peanut butter +milk or vanilla whey powder +blueberries+ banana+ milk kind of deals. How far under I might be and how much protein I need to meet my goal for that day factor in, too, but those…

http://neilarey.com/workouts.html Free site, great body weight exercises, and superhero themes! As to it being easy, just try to modify them at first. When I was unsure of what an exercise was supposed to look like, I searched for videos of it.
