Isn't Capt. Kirk from (or "will" be from) Iowa? Sorry, Indiana here, and definitely not lovely.

Feel free to hit me up. I believe in killing it fitness-wise and that losing weight is simply AWESOME!

The only way to lose weight is to have a deficit of calories. Period. You can create calorie deficits in two ways: 1) eating less, and 2) moving more. What choose to do is down to your priorities.

He talks purty...

Here's one of them, but he is more of an accomplice... The main culprit, me, isn't shown.

Good quality and plentiful protein are necessary for bulking. Otherwise, your body will tear down existing cells to build new ones, and that's a bad situation. Plus, the more muscle you add to your body, the more calories your body will burn. It's like making the engine in a car bigger; the bigger the engine, the more fuel…

No everybody is the same, as you say. Good sleep is still important for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that a lot of cell repair takes place then.

Fantastic attitude! Gonna adopt the "don't talk about" philosophy.

Being hungry after fasting... interesting concept.

Neck/back injuries and degenerative disc disease here. Two surgeries on cervical eruptions. Fighting it by 1) being fit, and 2) losing weight.

Hm just read this. Is it possible your kids are preaching the gospel of good nutrition of your behalf? I ask because what we tell children, especially young ones, tends to get repeated where we never expect it.

When I converted to Christianity, I lost many friends and even family connections. Some of it has to do with how people identify us. If our identify changes, it is sometimes hard for people to see and treat us the same way. Hope things improve for you!

Feel free to FR me, though I may ask you if I can borrow money occasionally.

Beer, peanut butter, and sarcasm. Mom never mentioned I had a twin sister.

I've been wondering what "Zombies, Run!" might do to your cortisol levels. I've listened to some samples of the app's track, and I felt adrenaline levels increasing. Stress reactions are not generally good for brain/body chemistry. Just wondering...

I've seen people die if I don't eat breakfast.

I still don't understand how you milk an almond.

I appreciate what you're saying, but being hungry as you approach your next meal is normal. I'm simply saying that if I'm feeling hungry when it's time for my next meal, I did something right. If I'm not hungry by the time my next meal is due, then I probably too much at my last meal. Embracing hunger pangs does not…

Peanut butter and wheat make a complete protein. Turn your weakness into a strength. Tell yourself that every hunger pang you feel means that you are winning. I do.

RAWHAHAHAH! Say, what the heck are you doing in your profile photo?

Didn't buy a ring, but I forged one myself. It was awesome. Into this ring I poured all my cruelty, my malice and my will to dominate all life. Then I lost this one ring in the most stupid, goofy way you can imagine (I don't want to talk about that). I looked for it for years while it changed hands a few times. The last…

I can verify that... been developing software all my adult life (okay, I was actually writing PC games in my teens.)

I you can't compress it, it's muscle.

The things that are difficult but which get done in our lives nonetheless are the things that we make our priorities.

Brain cells can only consume glucose.

It's a reasonable fear... the good news is that research is showing clearing that losing 10% of one's body weight will help prevent them from getting diabetes. I was insulin dependent up until last May, but no more, baby!

No telling how many cups sizes I've gone down.

You're not Klingon, are you?
