It's now 103/45... ugh.

If you're lifting weights and eating to support that, you are gaining muscle mass. Muscle is more dense than fat, thus it takes a lot more fat loss to happen to see the scales go down than it would if you weren't lifting. You said it yourself, your measurements are down, which can only mean that you've lost fat tissue.

Thanks for replying... not planning to take today's dose since I'll be doing 3.5 miles on an elliptical after work today. Am seeing my doctor tomorrow afternoon for a monthly check in.

Way to go on your successes, and for the positive, non-scales view of things!

Once daily first thing in the morning, and then monthly at my doctor's office. When I register a loss, I record it. All that being said, I put little stock in what the scales say. I use other metrics like how my clothes fit, how loose is my wedding ring, etc. I also remind myself of the following: The more hunger pangs I…

People, people, people... murder? Hitmen? Whatever happened to getting a good lawyer? They're just as heartless and as expensive, but everybody is still breathing afterwards.

Well, if I read it right, it may also cause the endocrine system to produce less insulin, leading to higher levels of blood glucose when you do consume something that actually translates into glucose. I would THINK that this would be type 2 diabetes not caused by insulin resistance, but then I'm not a PhD. That being said,…

Showers are all about Life, the Universe, and Everything. BTW, how many baths can you usefully have in one day?
-
Are you doing strength/resistance training? If so, muscle mass is more dense than fat tissue. New muscle mass will make it look you are either gaining or not losing.

When it becomes a priority for you, you will change.

After work... it's a sacrifice for all of us (wife and children), but they need me around longer and feeling better when I am there.

There's a ready solution for loose skin... clothing.

The only thing I focus on while working out is how to push myself further. I ask myself questions like "How can I get my heart rate up further? How can I do one more rep? How can I make myself do 1 more minute on the elliptical?"

I live my life 30 seconds at a time. High-intensity interval training made a huge difference for me.

It's from the movie *Princess Bride*. The masked guy is scaling the Cliffs of Insanity. *shrug*

If she was your mother-in-law, I would have suggested a couple of half-power strikes to the solar plexus.

Best advice... see a doctor to find out what is causing the pain. That being said, it's generally a good idea to ice down, after working out, any joints that cause you pain. Ice reduces tissue inflammation, which allows for better blood flow.

I have an iPhone 5 and love it. That being said, Apple ain't what it used to be. I may look at an Android next time.

49 here... ugh... good news is that with my weight loss and getting fit, I feel like I've rolled back some of the years. I get pimples again, and I wake up in the morning like I'm 19 again (Sorry for the over-share, but I'm thrilled.)

I went to an orthopedic doctor and had a custom shoe insert made. I haven't experience PF since.

What's the point in fasting if you're aren't actually going to gave up something? Just curious... *shrug*

Wheat and peanut butter makes a complete protein. Choose good, low GI whole wheat and a good fat profile PB.

Apples... they are mostly water.
