The past week has been brutal, my pain has been unimaginable. However, something changed this morning and I'm able to function again. My arms and shoulders are still much too painful for exercise but I'm thinking maybe I can do some gentle morning stretches. Have any of you tried stretches? What has been your results?

I have continued with the ACV in the mornings, but the breakfast nausea has returned. I have discontinued eating breakfast because a) it causes nausea, and b) it causes increased hunger throughout the day. I have returned to my standard OMAD that has been working really well for me.

Lately I have been struggling to sleep again. I have only been sleeping every other night, so in six days I only slept 3 nights. The other 3 nights I was awake all night. Fortunately I was able to be productive during those hours and completed a lot of study. I'm not in University or anything, I just really enjoy digging…

@MargaretYakoda That is a good plan to have. I think I'll keep that in mind for the next time! Thank you.

I had another sleepless night last night due to pain. It seemed more intense than it has been and made for a long night. However, toward morning dawn, the pain relented and allowed me some time to study before starting my day. I hope you had a better night than I did.

Today my greatest non-physical challenge is frustration. I don't know why today has been so bothersome, but it definitely was. My wife kept getting frustrated with me, and I don't know why. I tried for 2 days to get ready for the weekend, and when nothing happened in time, I got frustrated. I was all excited about my…

Today was a good day! I met two new men today and we had several things in common, and we took the time to discuss them at length. So I have two new friends now. This is very important for me because it is so difficult for me to meet new people and form friendships. Sometimes I have years go by without a new friend, but…

I went to see my Primary Care Physician yesterday for my annual wellness visit. The first thing she said was, "You've lost a lot of weight." She didn't know I began a weight loss plan. I was so encouraged to hear this, yes indeed!

Last night I startled awake by sudden intense pain, but it ceased quickly so that I was able to get some good rest. I got up when the alarm went off and had a full day today. I even had enough spare time to spend an hour reading, which is something I want to prioritize in 2024.

@jessicakrall8 I'm not participating in the August challenge. I've been sick for a while now and maybe I'll recover enough to join again for September. Thank you for the challenges!

@jetabear10 I am a closet Zero Carb (carnivore, meatatarian, etc.) because so many people ignorantly oppose the idea without any research, so I have not shared my diet choices with anyone but two people: my wife, who is cautiously accepting, and my best friend who has been Keto for several years - he says he can see the…

Personally, I save ALL my bacon grease to add flavor to my other lean meats like steaks, chops, etc. And I give the dog one egg per week mixed in with is standard dry dog food. It makes his coat so shiny. Regarding calories, I suspect the amount of calories lost in the frying is so minimal as to be insignificant. Unless…

I can totally relate. My wife and I are both disabled and cannot tolerate high heats, so we plan our days around the heat. Fortunately, I'm still capable of doing wheelchair aerobics, chair boxing, and upper body free weights, so I can get all my exercise done inside. Eventually I would like to get healthy enough that I…

Okay, I'll do better. Thanks!

I'm staying home and enjoying the fireworks in an air conditioned, kid friendly, mosquito free, ant free, no clean-up necessary, and stay away from the drunk drivers environment LOL I'll probably be right here reading a book during the day, then that evening watch some fireworks followed with a movie with the wife.

I apologize if I'm in the wrong place, but I'm still trying to figure out the MFP forum in general, and this group in particular. I don't know if I'm in the right place, but I think so. Do I need to post my starting weight and all that stuff here? How do I get started? Thanks in advance for being patient with me while I…

@Davo312 I have now been doing it for 45 days and today was a check-in day, and I'm now down 12.7 pounds! I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I'm still trying to figure out how MFP does all this forum stuff. I didn't even see that there was a response to my post until just now. @NewLIFEstyle4ME Thanks for the…

@AnnPT77 You know this guy is a professional eater, globe trotter, and exercise nut right? I have been watching his YouTube videos for a while now. Furious Pete is serious about his fitness! :p

I can never expect anyone else to embrace my choices - because my choices are my responsibility. I embrace them, and I live them with deliberation and purpose. But I also remember that other people don't have my restrictions, my disabilities, or my outlook. Other people are living their lives, and I embrace their freedom…
