  • The same thing pushed me to take this seriously. I've always been overweight so it became just who I am to me and everyone else. I never really tried to do anything about it, that was just too hard. About 8 years ago we had some family issues that completely altered my world. I let the stress get to me and became less and…

  • I love fall because the weather finally starts cooling down and we can venture outside again! I'm looking forward to doing more exercising outside when the temperatures finally drop. I'm really looking forward to fall and winter this year. Right now though, it does not feel like fall. It's still in the 100's and humid…

  • Good luck! You'll rock it!
  • I've always done it in 1 go. I kind of had the get it done and over with mentality.
  • I have 2 more days of T25 Alpha and next week move into Beta. I actually really like the workout because it's quick. Friday's are double up Friday and I love them!
  • I'm about finished with the Alpha Round of T25. Next week I go into Beta. My weight when starting was 276. Today I'm at 262, so after 4.5 weeks it's helped for sure. Do the Double up Friday's. It sucks, but you feel so accomplished!! I use Tania all the time to help me get through it.
  • You look amazing! Thank you so much for sharing. I'm working to lose 124 lbs, so I was really curious what would happen as the pounds came off. I've always been heavy, so my skin doesn't know any better. You did an awesome job and should feel very proud of yourself!
  • Beach vacation where I can wear cute beachy summer clothes and not feel self conscious. That's what I'm looking forward to. We're thinking The Dominican Republic or Bahama's.
  • I think it's best when you bake it, but in the summer time here, we do not turn on the oven unless necessary. So I'll use the quick microwave method. It's good mixed with lots of other veggies like peppers, onions and mushrooms. You can add some ground turkey and a little Parmesan for a full and hearty meal that my kids…
  • When it's winter time here and the natives are wearing jackets, you are wearing shorts.... 65 is cold people! You pronounce the L's in tortilla You think Taco Bell is real Mexican Food You are out of here before summer starts You are over 65 and from Canada........ Darn snow birds You drive so slow!! You can't pronounce…
  • You are not alone. I've been big my whole life too and can't even imagine myself thin. I'm worried about not recognizing myself. I recently got lasik surgery to correct my vision after wearing glasses for 25 years. I had an identity crisis for a few months where I felt overly exposed and unlike myself. I'm hoping that…
  • This made me laugh. I would have high fived him.
  • Congratulations on the engagement! That's a very happy motivation I am working to lose a lot of weight myself and so I know it's hard to change life habits. My recommendation is that you log everything you eat the very best you can, either weighing it or using measuring cups. Use the guide the MFP gives you on the number…
  • Thank you for sharing. I'm also on a journey to 160 from 284. This is inspirational to me. Now I've got a push to see it can happen. You look amazing!
  • I spend about $200 a week, but that's for a family of 5. Sometimes I can stretch 2 weeks in with $200-$300. It's gone up since I stopped buying so much of the ready made processed stuff and started buying fresh and organic (when I can). I still buy some quick and easy foods for my kids. Now that my kids and husband are…
  • That is AWESOME! Good for you!! What an inspiration
  • I'm calorie counting to learn about food as fuel. I saw that when I thought I was eating healthy I wasn't. I was consuming too much, not portioning right, or focusing in the wrong area of nutrition. I have a lifetime of bad habits to break and a long journey ahead of me (trying to lose 120 lbs). Having to document…
  • We did a Disney cruise a couple years ago. It was a ton of fun. I love cruises because they include everything! It might be hard to not get tempted by all of the food they offer. Walk around the ship a lot and do every activity you can. It'll help balance out the food. I actually lost a lb on my last cruise because we were…
  • Hang in there! It's hard. I just really started and hitting the wall is something that scares me. Celebrate all the wins. Maybe you didn't lose a pound, but how about inches? Are clothes fitting better? Do you have more energy or stamina? All of these things are amazing and you worked for it. Don't stress about the actual…
  • I just started out too and have over 100 lb to lose. I want to ultimately lose 120 in total. It's a little daunting because it's so long term. I put 120 pennies in a jar and set it on my dresser. I do a weekly weigh in and move a penny from the To Lose jar to the Lost jar for every pound lost. It's a visual reminder that…
  • I've been saying for years I should do something. I even tried a few times. I usually gave up so quickly though. If I worked out (I would be a total baby about it too) I would take that to mean I could eat whatever and justify sitting and watching TV the rest of the day. If I ate good (which I rarely did) I didn't have to…
  • I've always been heavy. I've never been thin my whole life. I just never did anything about it. I enjoy eating, love sweets, and am a couch potato champion. I'm done though, I just want to get fit and healthy. I can't wait to weigh less than my husband! It'll be the first time ever in our 18 years together.
  • I just started T25 yesterday. I am looking to lose over 100 lbs, so the workout is tough for me. I'm doing the modified. I figure that going through the 10 weeks on modified will get me ready to do 10 weeks full out! I have a long way to go, so T25 and I will be spending a lot of time together. . .
  • Hot, gotta love a guy in a suit :)
