Eat. Lift Heavy on a good well planned novice program. Those are the basics to it.

You honestly arent going to gain quickly on your workout program, firstly you arent training legs. Secondly that looks more like a program for someone with a good foundation, which you do not. Look at Starting Strength, Stronglifts 5x5, JasonDB's 5x5. You need a proper novice system & progressive overload to chuck muscle…

Comical isnt it.

Just found this video on the topic, sports scientist: Good video and pretty much wraps up the topic regarding specificity of training for mma etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5guHuCGzNCM

Boxers do bulk to improve strength. Just because your big doesn't mean your slow: example? Cam Newton, dude is 245 pounds and can move with the rest of them. You dont punch from your chest, from your feet, everything in the chain is involved in throwing a punch. You will find professional boxers all Squat, Deadlift and do…

To me it sounds like your suffering from the old 'skinny fat' issue, not quite enough muscle. Bodyfat is hard to calculate accurately i have callipers and thats still not 100% Remember, squats, deadlifts, ohps and bench pressing all utilize the core if the exercise is performed properly. A strong core helps to prevent back…

I plan on eating anything that dares to come into my vision.
-
probably been said on this thread already but you need to just lift a bit heavier and build some more muscle, some people also (like me) carry all their bodyfat on their stomach and its the last bit to go, for my six pack to 'pop' i have to be around like 10%, where as some people get away with 15% range.

caved and drank? you drank. Dont worry about it, hit the gym a little harder or eat a little less the next day. I dont understand this issue of never having anything bad thats preached around these forums. I drink, go out with my friends and enjoy myself and why? Because im not a fitness model, im not standing on a stage…

Sometimes, just sometimes, its worth sitting back and reading 7 pages on an important topic like this.
-
eat less on the day your gonna drink, that's the irresponsible thing i do.

I'm a little more excited for anchorman 2, but im hoping to go see both movies on the same day if i plan it right :)

Are you eating enough fruit and veg? your micros are very important too. At this time of year it can be helpful to take Vit D due to darker days.

<- Chronic depression sufferer. No being depressed itself doesn't make you gain weight. But, not being able to sleep? lack of energy due to lethargy, general worthlessness feelings make you not want to do -anything- at times, when i was at a really bad point in life and i was on some pretty strong meds this added to it…

Calorie surplus and a basic routine that incorporates major compounds. Look up a novice routine like:http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/jason-blaha-ice-cream-fitness-5x5-novice-workout

She said she has problems with mood swings, but her diet is not perfect, which means it could be anything really. I would rule out all other options before jumping down the cutting foods out completely route, especially as cutting down on carbs can cause issues in terms of performance for exercise and energy levels. Op…

I wasn't talking about diabetes. There has been a study recently that shows that sugar caused accelerated fat gain, but this study was on severely obese and sedentary individuals. OP didn't mention diabetes.
-
You need to eat more.
-
Are you sure its sugar? and not caffeine or another source. Are you getting enough fat in your diet? healthy fats help regulate hormone production. Also ensure your getting your micro nutrients. The order of things I would be concerned about in this order: Protein -> Carbs -> Micronutrients (Am i getting my fruit and veg)…

if your an active individual (not sedentary) who is in a good weight range, you do not need to worry about sugar.

Uhmm, i pulled over infront of a cyclist the other night as it was pitch black and he had no reflective gear on and no lights, told him i could barely see him driving and nearly hit him, offered him a lift to where he needed to be (country roads) he told me to **** off and mind my own business. I love living in Hull lol.

Find a way to fit them in your macros and cals, simple :) i will be next week when i get my *kitten* to the shops.
-
Its because us northern guys are ****ing crazy dudes.
-
as long as you keep adding weight to the bar every week thats a fairly good set of lifts for a novice. I would add some mobility work (stretching etc) and some heavy core work into your routine to help assist in your main lifts. For now just continue to do what your doing 3 times a week. You could always add some overhead…

What routine has your gym instructor got you doing?

best plugin ever.

Two power racks? holy **** they need to open one of these in hull.
