I love optimum nutrition (French vanilla & extreme milk chocolate are my favorites!) Best price I've found has been amazon of all places. 2lbs (about 30 servings) for $30.

I totally agree with the weekly goal verses daily. Daily is too hard to manage but weekly that's been my key. I've done it for the past year pretty successfully IMHO. Allowing high calorie days really makes this feel like - not a diet. I'm not deprived.

Hahaha I'm just the opposite. I can't often justify the premium ice creams at 300+ cals for 1/2 cup. Edys double churned at 120-150 cal for 1/2 cup is heaven for me. The premium ones are a bit to rich now.

Omg thank you! I'm going to watch that. I knew there was a relationship with carbs but no idea on the actual relationship. Two weekends ago, i gained 8lbs in three days. But I had pasta Friday, pizza Saturday & thai Sunday. :blushing: I'm still struggling to lose it. Too many carbs definitely affects my weight loss -- even…

Let's see. I track sizes by old navy/gap using old navy sweetheart jeans 204lbs - size 14 185lbs - size 12 172lbs - size 10 - medium tops 158lbs - size 8 - medium tops At 150 i tried on a size small jacket. It fit but it is tight. I can fit into most size 8s I've tried on & am wearing a size medium yoga pants.

It's totally possible to walk 100 miles in a month. I started exercising mid October at 225lbs and now I'm 150.6. What are you currently walking? I slowly built up to it. I just kept adding a bit of distance to each walk. It adds up. See below. Nov - 65 miles Dec - 71 miles Jan - 86 miles Feb - 91 miles Mar - 95 miles Apr…

When that happens to me, i think of it as my body adjusting and readying to lose weight.

I love this thread! I started at 278.2 on May 15 2013 on Aug 1 2014 i weighed in at 150.6 so 127lbs lost. I believe 1. tracking food no matter what keeps you honest 2. Daily weigh ins can help you learn if certain foods cause weight gain (for me thats pizza pasta bread) 3. If your weight is more than 5lbs higher than your…

Don't forget chicken drippings can be used too as free IMHO

This. The black bean pasta has 180 calories 25 grams protien, &12g fiber. Waaaayyyy healthier than regular pasta.

Oh soooo many lately. 1. I am officially a size 8 - and confirmed it by trying on a few different brands. The size 12 shorts i brought on May 24, are baggy needing a belt and the size 14 jeans i bought in Dec are ridiculously too big. 2. My waist at the smallest part measures 29" - that blows my mind since it started at…

So many of them lately but my favorite - seeing actual arm muscles - they're actually there!!!

I love my fitbit flex. Its small & unobtrusive. I doesn't have an LCD display like some but it syncs quickly to my phone which is always near me anyways.

I waited to post-- this because it seems to be a pretty opinionated topic. So here's my experience - as in life your milage may vary. Over the past year ive lost 113lbs, going from 278.2 to 165 as of Friday. Im 5'5" & pear shaped & was obese the last 15 years. Do i have loose skin? Not really i don't think. When i lose…

You may be able to find free classes at a local community center, church or library. I've done 6 hours of exercise class this week by finding totally free stuff. Takes work to find but it may be out there for you.

I lost 100lbs+ by looking at calories as a weekly number. Some days i eat 1000, once a week i eat an ~ 2000 cal day. In the end my average calories per day is in the 1300-1500 calorie range.

I love optimum nutrition too. I keep the French vanilla & double chocolate alway in the house (vanilla ice cream was good but to me had a funny after taste. French vanilla tastes simpler to me). Maybe. I should try the choc fudge tho. Yum! Ooh one of my newest favs - 1/2 can do salmon (3.5 oz), 2 tbsp of fage Greek yorgurt…

What did you lose the prior weeks? Sometimes i barely move then whoosh! Big loss. Google whoosh weight loss happens to me often

This! Edys double churned is 120-150 cals for a 1/2c and its amazing!!! Way better calorie value than Haagen Daz or Ben & Jerry's. i had cookies & cream tonight :D

My favorite pizza. Lost all my weight having one meal a week of what i want. Sometimes its home made burgers with REAL bread & baked fries. Actually i save calories over the course of the week so my average day per week ends up being about 1400-1500 calories.
-
Lost 100lbs this way. Some days i eat 900 cals some days i eat 2000. I average 1400/day.

If you liked the firm (one of my favs too). The body sculpting system 1 & body sculpting system 2 are my favs. They have tons available on DVD.

I had problems linking both MapMyWalk & mapmyfitness because somehow it was creating double posts (having both on my phone - log into One mapmy* in one logs you on to both). You really can just use one of them to record all. That being said once i got fitbit, i use it to track my step exercise (walks, runs, step aerobics,…

Might be the Zumba instructor too. Try someone else. The "hard" Zumba instructor's class regularly registers 9-12,000 steps on fitbit. The easier one is 6-8,000 steps for the same hour - im trying to pick something tangible rather than how i feel. Some instructors use more "dance" where some like my "hard" instructor…

Tictrac is a free website where you can link your MFP and other services (i link fitbit & mapmyfitness too). It's pretty awesome

It doesn't matter if a mile is 6 mins, 16 mins, 26 mins or 36 mins, a mile is still a mile.

Same!

^ This! I'd look at things like this. You've been going to this gym for 11 months now. Is this the first time you've come across this? If its a one time thing where you overheard a conversation that wasn't met for you. I'd be inclined to let it go. How many of you have had convos you'd be mortified if someone overheard? If…

Im often cold after losing weight (need extra blanket every night to sleep). It's alway the worst after i have a hard work out. Im good for about an hour then if i stop. And sit i need to be covered up.

Im positive no one is gonna be watching you. They'll be to focused on themselves. Just remember keep moving!
